Hi! Thanks for your great videos! I have the same water maker as you and I’ve spent the last hour trying to troubleshoot. When I switch on (on/off button) it beeps then after a few seconds I get a long beep and both buttons start flashing. The pump motors don’t start either. Any idea what that could be? Thanks for your help.
Think this is the same unit I saw at a boat show this year , the way this unit saves on energy is the high pressure pump , it's not like a pressure washer pump that chews the amps , could be wrong but it seems to be a plunger that goes back and forth , probably a lot quieter too.
Wrong instructions around 9:00. The water from the T-shaped part goes into the pump, and then from the pump into the [5 micron + accumulator] contraption, from that contraption it then goes into the watermaker unit. ❌ Ocean -> strainer -> T -> 5m+A -> pump -> watermaker ✅ Ocean -> strainer -> T -> pump -> 5m+A -> watermaker
I've been eyeing one of these Zen 30 units for my 41' Concorde motor yacht. I can't believe the power draw is only 110 watts, that's insane. Even a small solar array could take care of providing that.
L' acqua filtrata è di ottima qualità. Per la più sicura potabilità si raccomanda comunque di aggiungere all' uscita della macchina un sistema di microfiltrazione o uno sterilizzatore a raggi UV.
Can you please give a brief update on the water maker. Also, is it a noisy unit? Many watermakers I've seen make a horrendous racket. I'm about to put money on that table for a zen30.
Hi Mauric, the Zen 30 is based on a volumetric energy recovery system. For this reason the unit is not equipped with a high pressure pump (the main source of noise), but with a small low pressure diaphragm pump. Consequently, the noise is much lower than with traditional watermakers. If you want you can write me an email (info@schenker.it) and we can arrange a video call when we have the Zen 30 on test in order to show you live the silence of these machines.
Nice job! I hope the watermaker will serve you well for a long time. I am looking to install a similar unit, so thanks for the explanatory video! Fair winds!
It is by far one of the best upgrades we have made to the boat! No better feeling than being able to make fresh drinking water from the sea, all by using the power of the sun 🌞
I was watching the video and it was very useful, however, I asked if I could help me. I bought a used Schenker just like the one used in the film but it didn't come with the electric part and the pump. Can you tell me the reference of the Pump and the relé. Thank you so much Pedro
We've been using it full time for almost 6 months now and absolutely loving it! It performs exactly as specified, the dual motors are very quiet when it's running, and the panel mount controller is great.. simple yet effective and we usually pre-program to run for 2 or 3 hours and then it self-flushes with freshwater and shuts itself down.. perfect! :)
@@SailingSophisticatedLady Thanks for the response. I hope to be needing a watermaker soon, but still not sure which make or LPH size to buy. Glad it's working well for you. Safe travels!
Live on a sailboat in paradise they said. It will all be fun and games they said! hahahaha, funny how we all tend to use the same sayings! Great vid as always, thank you. This is a project for this summer aboard Nepenthe.
@@riccardoverde4707 thanks for the reply , looking at getting a Zen 50, just to confirm i would need a RO unit also ? as see in your system you take out your Old RO unit white unit with one black cap then put it back into the system thanks.
@@sailrockpaperscissors8261 You are welcome. You don't need anything else. The RO section (based on 2X SW2521 membranes) is integrated in the main unit.
