That shouldn't be too difficult. The xlights format is open source and reasonably well documented. However, as I've found out, not completely documented. There are some quirks in the way the data is stored. The authors are active in the support forums and have been helpful in answering my questions that allowed me to get to this point.
It look like you discovered on your own at 2:10 the tail slam/skid stop method. That is my way of stopping. Once you get it down, it becomes pretty natural. That can tear up the bottom of the board, so I put some little shims under there that kind of act like float plates. I'm 53, got my Onewheel in August of '19, and now have over 2100 miles.
Thanks! That does seem to be the easiest method for me, but I think I still have to be more aggressive at it otherwise I get wheel spin. I just turned 50--my wife says this is the most mild midlife crisis I could have.
Nice job! looking forward to next year. Did you leave the shelter out 24/7? If yes, did the cold affect it in any way? I ended up bringing my projector in every night but am always looking for an alternative. Thanks,
Thanks! I did leave the shelter out all day. It was sealed up--seams were caulked, and no air vents--except for a 3 inch hole for the power cord. I wasn't sure if I should have been more concerned about heat or cold. But with most days barely reaching 20F, and several nights in a row of sub-zero temps, heat became less of a concern. When the temps started dropping into the teens, I put a 100 watt shop light in the shelter as a heater. The light kept the everything warm inside (and lessened my fears of a cracked LCD laptop screen from freezing temps). With the light and projector on, it was probably warmer than ideal (even on -20 wind chill days). I think for next season I'll put a thermometer in there so I can monitor more quantitatively. Let me know how it goes on your side!
Thanks for posting Peter in the woods. Check out his earlier band I was in with him on RU-vid called peterandthetrippers. There's a link on his channel to 78 recorded masterpieces we produced together over a 5 year period. Dig it.
