How do we show the Scorecard count 7 records in the detailed table? If I click on Scorecard count 7, then table has to be displayed by showing 7 detailed information. Please do suggest.
I have six pages of reports and need a single date range control. If I change the date range, will all my reports across these pages update accordingly?

Thank you for the video, very helpful! In your example, is there anyway to actually compare the the opens of the two different time periods? For example, showing a decline of 23% ((16420-13367) / 13367))
Why Looker studio don't have internal variables simply baffles me... so instead of duplicated date ranges, you could simply do ({{date_range_1}} - 180days) or {{date_range_2 = {{date_range_1}} - 180d}} or something like that... I'm also baffled how Looker studio will give absolutely different data comparing to BigData studio, but that's another issue
Having the sams issue. I want to compare metrics against two different dynamic date ranges (user wants to enter the date ranges for both phases) let me know if you know something.
Hi! Almost found what I was looking for in this awesome video, thanks. Do you know if there’s a way to use a data range control as a calendar table? This is, that it uses two different date columns to filter? Both columns are in the same blended table. Thanks in advance.
What if I want to enter multiple addresses in To field which is not possibly but after updating data every month we can't add email addresses every month .is there any solution for this ?? Please help
Thanks for the great video. How would you combine (in a time series chart with different lines corresponding to different data sourcse) data sources with different date ranges and nulls for certain data sources based on the date range? I have tried full outer joins, but it is not showing the full date range across the disparate data sources. Thank you!
I was searching for a similar feature like the one in Google Search Console, where checking a checkbox displays a second date range control. Upon selecting the second date range, it automatically adds extra rows in tables and other charts for comparison between the two dates. After going through many helpful documents and RU-vid videos, I stumbled upon a video that appears to be what I need. I just need to modify it to create multiple tables instead of Lookers to add extra rows automatically. Thank you for sharing the video.
how do I avoid the filters of the table rows for a given metric? In power BI there is the ALL function to achieve that, what is the equivalent in Looker Studio?
If I import a container from a different account, do I need to reconfigure the tags to the imported container's ids? I did an export and I see the exported container's ids. I am wondering if I should update those in the json file before I import or if I have to do it after the import or if GTM will update it automatically? thanks and great video.
Interesting! what about if we have a pivot table and want to calculate the % of Parent Row Title (which is a calculation that is included in MS Excel)?
I don’t like the pivot tables in Looker Studio. The functionality is a bit limited in my opinion and I had trouble getting it to do what I wanted. I’ve never tried it in a pivot table but you could check to see if it’s available.
@@taminh1781 can you please explain a little bit detail about this? I am really struggled about how to get % of colume total in looker pivotable. thank you!
Not sure what you mean by "absolutely changes" but a time series chart would show changes over time. You would have the date as the dimension and can then add whatever metrics you like for comparison. That's what I would do.
@@kimhale9679 That is best done with a time series chart that shows the trends and data points at various different timestamps, but you could also set up a date comparison date range in a table as shown here => www.scottdudley.com/wp-content/uploads/SCR-20230821-inrc.png
Great video, thank you. Is there a way to display the variance number difference of a particular metric in relation to the 2 compared time periods in a scorecard? I am trying to do it and keep getting 0 difference even though the metric scorecards are grouped and showing the correct numbers to the relevant time periods. I have blended the data. Not sure where things are going wrong. Kind regards
If you have grouped both charts with the date selectors correctly, each chart should correspond to the correct date range. They work independently of each other. Here's a brilliant tutorial about time series charts => ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yTRfo7DqDzI.html
If you only want to set up Cross Domain Tracking you do that in GA4 like I showed you in this video. However if you want to track specific clicks from one URL to another URL (on different domains) you can set up a trigger in GTM to fire when both the page location of the page you landed on is correct and also the referrer for the page they have come from is correct. You could then create a custom event tag using this trigger. However, if that doesn't help please go into more detail.
I want to create comparison chart like it should pull most recent month of year and compare it same month of previous year. Eg My recent month is Jun'23 it should pull the same and compare it with Jun'22 (it should display bar graph of Jun'23 and Jun'23)
Group each chart separately so the date range filter and the chart are connected to each other, and then set the default date range of the first chart to the last 30 days, and then for the second chart create a custom default date range where it starts 395 days ago and finishes 365 days ago. That way it will automatically display the data you want and if necessary you can easily change the data ranges on either chart.
