The cappuccino one is an exaggeration. It is true that cappuccino is typical of the Italian breakfast and "usually" you drink it at that juncture. However, no bar in Italy does not bring you cappuccino after 2 p.m. and no one is scandalized by that. Instead, it is strictly unacceptable to accompany cappucciono with food such as pasta or pizza, this is considered absolutely deplorable and a symptom of bad taste. The one about cheese on fish is not accurate either. It is true in general but specifically there are excellent Italian dishes with seafood and cheese such as "Pasta pecorino and mussels."
Nope! Italians are not always late, for the most we are always on time and hate who is late. And nope, we don't eat tiny portions of food but we are kind of obsessed with what we eat and how is cooked (Mediterranean diet). We like expresso and don't like American coffee. The white socks are all about fashion.
The complete real italian meal is: 1) aperitivo (sparkling wine, cocktail or spritz- 1 glass, chips, olives, nibbles), 2) antipasto (cold cuts, sometimes deep fried veggies), 3) Primo (often pasta, sometimes rice, rarely soup), 4) Secondo (main course, usually meat or seafood), 5) contorno (veggies), 6) formaggio (cheese plate, usually skipped-cheese served with antipasto), 7) dolce (dessert), 8) frutta (fruits), 9) coffee, 10) ammazzacaffè (literally "kill the coffee": spirits). Every course may be accompained with different wine. This is a formal italian meal, rarely served nowdays, but only on Saturdays or Chistmas. Unfortunately you could be invited at Wedding. The more the bride's family is POOR (yes, not rich) and southern, the more wedding is huge! Antipasto is much more abundant (even 30-50 items), primo is minimum 3 pastas ("tris di primi"), secondo is minimum a roast meat and seafood, divided by a lemon sorbet, there are several cakes (possible 30!) FOLLOWED by the wedding cake! It's almost a torture expecially for men (dressed formally whit tie, hot season). It's not a joke, one weeding I went, there was a ready-to-go ambulance. Differently from eastern europe in Italy wedding lasts only one day, nobody dance, almost none get really drunk, and leftover food is THROWN IN THE TRASH (All this is because it has to show wealth). The reason is because we have a food culture, for most american eating is just put food inside your body. Here is like a ritual, a social moment that you share with your friend or family, there are a lot of unwritten rules.

As an Italian I hate that Mulino Bianco's thousand different kinds of biscuits all taste the same and are so freaking dry that they aren't even enjoyable on their own. Only few of them are actually enjoyable. Even Gocciole, which I love, are clearly designed to be dipped in milk so they're dry as heck. I don't like dipping biscuits in milk, let me choose how I want to eat them! Your biscuits should be enjoyable in both ways! Lol. I didn't know Fruittella were so popular in England lol. And yes all the Kinder snacks you tried are Italian! Nice to see you know them well in the UK as well, a lot of them are great haha. Also it was wholesome seeing someone do this kind of video with a granddad for a change, you both seem very nice and fun.
