Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has around 6,000 highly-trained, qualified doctors, nurses, midwives, health visitors, therapists, healthcare scientists and other support staff caring for more than half a million patients from Buckinghamshire and neighbouring counties every year.
As a pioneering Trust we bring together acute and community services. We deliver care in our hospitals at Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe and Amersham, as well as from one of our local bases in Buckingham, Chalfont & Gerrard's Cross, Marlow and Thame. We also provide community health services in people's homes and local facilities around the county.
absouloutly even if the abusive person dies.i think there needs to be tougher consquences for being abusive to nhs staff and if you abuse them you should be banned from all nhs care including emergency care for life.

My experience was not good. I had mine less than a month ago. I opted for sedation and painkiller, but i feel they just put water in my hand. I felt a lot of sharp pain and they just kept saying move to another side. I was wide awake and not relaxed. Very miserable looking people in the room and did nothing to help me or make me feel better. The nurse i saw before i went in, had said if you feel pain theyll probably give gas and air or something. When i came out she asked how i got on. I told her and she was surprised. I hope i never have to have that done again!! That was raigmore hospital in inverness scotland.
Crazy, here in the US, you are knocked out. No way I’d let anyone do this without being asleep. Strange how they can do it over here with sedation, yet this Dr says they can’t.
Lol, in the USA, people want to be knocked out for every procedure, they got no pain tolerance and cannot handle it. It also doesn't help that hospitals are pushing every procedure to be done under general anesthesia and IV sedation to make more money. It isn't about patient choice or preference, it is about control. Which also explains why they often push this stuff very hard on people and try to discourage them. Same goes for manual transmissions. New drivers want to start on a stick shift, people try to discourage them. They want you to be sheep and follow sheep.
@@pamscruggs2660 It is probably the dumbest reply you have ever read because you don't want to see the truth nor realize the messed up reality. If you do any research behind the choice of anesthetics and drugs in the US healthcare system, you can clearly see the statistics and data being around profits being a main factor in this trend compared to other countries. But the main point is that no one should be forced to be "asleep" for a simple procedure like this. Some people want to be sedated and others don't want to. Forcing people is not the answer and will make some people not undergo the procedure in the first place. It is not fair if they medically gaslight you and deny your request, no concern for your preference. After all, why would a doctor want to work on a patient that is conscious and awake? They want you to sleep to hide their mistakes, which is probably what is happening in the USA compared to other countries considering that in other countries, loads of people get things done without needing to be "put out". Anyone who denies this doesn't understand that some individuals have high pain tolerance and do not fear anything. I am one of those people. Why would I need to be sedated for my teeth to be pulled out or even to scrub alcohol wipes over a painful wound? I just experienced a bad cold and despite it feeling like hell at times and feeling weak, I still pushed on and walked around the house normally and I did not need any medicine to help me other than when I needed to sleep for comfort and healing. Most athletes like me already have this pain tolerance ability and traits, so hard exercise and any painful stimuli isn't concerning or that bad for us.
Is this women made of steel or was she sedated!? They are all lying!😅 29yo and On gas and air It hurts more than labour pains and is extremely similar in feeling to labour pains.. you feel the camera from start to finish... it hurts like hell all the way in, especially around the corners and when they blow your bowel up... the only part I felt without excruciating pain was the camera coming out ..... maybe it was just the NHS surgeon at treliske in Cornwall that is extremely rough ... mind you they forgot to give me gas and air before it started
27 yrs old. Convinced myself i had colon cancer because my tummy suddenly became so gassy overnight! Also had blood in stools that time which made me worry more. Pushed for a colonoscopy and nothing was found. Hope this helps. Until now I am still gassy after 6 months but I have peace of mind now. No more health anxiety
im 15 and dealing with those 2 symptoms as well, do u think i should get a colonscopy? i went to a doctor and he said i was fine but im not convinced so im taking blood tests lol, i feel like a colonscopy is NEEDED for the peace of my mind
@@cullenlover hi! If you have the money for it then go for a colonoscopy for peace of mind. But hear me out! You may also consider listening to your doctor. They know way way better than us! I didnt listen to my 3 gastroenterologists when they said I didnt need to undergo colonoscopy. I hope that you will not worry like me. It almost ruined my entire year!

I have to do a colonoscopy for the rest of my life due to colon cancer. Never feel pain, the sedation is wonderful, is the preparation that I don’t like, but i have no choice.
I've had loads of them both kinds , was meant to have one this year but useless gastro dr in London said got to wait till 2025 as had one last year when I never it was year b4 just hope polyps arnt back and arnt bigger already had my stomache removed and some of my bowel.
My first colonoscopy, I was awake and felt everything. The next time I told the doctor about my first experience and he gave me a higher dose of anesthesia. I remember waking up in the recovery room. It was heavenly - except for the prep.
I had my procedure yesterday with propofol got home and my stomach kept gnawling and I continue to pass mucus and a gritty like light brown sediment in my stool I tried to call hospital but we were having a bad thunderstorm. A very light only one cup mashed potatoes in the a little bit of apple juice my colon feels a swollen and I am beyond exhaustion. Shooting pain upper left colon junction. When I left doc said I had one call which was removed and sent out for testing otherwise he doesn't know what's causing my stomach problems and constipation.😢
