Most beautiful and informative, I have a question though: 90% of your footage is set on Moltrasio, Carate Urio or Laglio. Aren't you being maybe a little unfair to what's in between?

Thanks for your comment. The video was designed to show the 'Via Verde' hiking trail itself and the villages it passes through but whilst sticking to the actual trail. Of course, it is possible to deviate from the trail and go down the mountainside to see these villages in more detail by the lakeside.

Because all the americans they are obesys, the infrastructures olds destroyng, full of homeless, sanity less, for the world is a popolaction of codard, in war only versus countrys of 3rt world? In Russia the war is made from ukrainians...fear?

We stayed in Laglio for 3 months in the fall of 2021. Our apartment was 50 yards from this trail and we walked it nearly every day. thanks for the video!

Beautiful song and thanks for lyrics. Views on black and white give another dimension to the clip. I liked it very, very much.

There are some ruins of a Roman palace about half way between the Duomo and Santa Maria delle Grazie. The Palazzo Imperiale di Massimiano.

Thanks for your comment. We have been visiting Milan for many years but had no idea of these particular ruins. It is crazy how many times we walked by that street but never noticed this archaeological site. For sure, we will visit and also this is a great idea for another video. Milan is a city full of surprises!

Grass snake or whip snake. Hard to tell from video but I'd say with 99% certainty it's not a viper.

Thanks for your comment. I did some research, and yep, as you said it is not a viper. I saw another similar sized snake the other day on the road. I coaxed it off with a branch (otherwise a car would have hit it). It played dead at first but then aggressively rose its body and head up like a cobra before slithering off into the bushes. I read that grass snakes mimic cobras when they want to show aggression and learned this behaviour from before the last ice age when they coexisted with cobras in Europe. Somehow they still instinctively remember to mimic a cobra's display to scare predators! Crazy how nature works eh?

@@quirkyitalianexploration You're welcome. Very cool! I have seen snakes do that (called periscoping) so they can get a better look at their best escape route. I believe you though. Look up Eastern Hognose snake, they have a pretty cool way of looking like a cobra.

@@igotakai5644 I just checked out the Eastern Hognose snake. Very interesting indeed how it too mimics the Cobra snake!
@igotakai5644
@igotakai5644 Год назад
@@quirkyitalianexploration the real question is, "Does it"? There are no native cobras in the US. So how would it evolve to mimic one? 🤔

It has been a weirdly mild winter here so far with very little snowfall, especially on this side of the Alps and at lower altitudes. Quite the contrast with your winter in North America this year!
