Jesus Christ this is so frickin insane. I’ve watched this hundreds of times and I still can’t get over how sick this. The last solo is so unreal. So UNREAL
It's not true that John's music can only be fully appreciated by two categories of people. Anyway I agree that if you're a teenage girl or a guitar player in his 40s you get the most of it. Cheers :)
Sounds absolutely abysmal his guitar and his vocals sometimes during this performance, I’m a huge John Mayer fan but the glazing over this performance is silly, it’s one of his worst renditions of this song.
This performance is a testament to both John's talent, and a sad swan song for a bygone era of musical appreciation. God, I miss the days of great, raw, music.
The very second i listened to John Mayer I knew i was listening to a seriously gifted guitarist. His Music is so underrated in my opion. I seen him Live in Wollongong in 2012 I think Simply Red were the back up. About 8000 people. Great night. Was at the back had best seat in the house. The sound and show were excellent. Cant wait for him to come to Australia again.
I’m now watching for the 100th time. I’m biased because Slow Dancing In A Burning Room is my favorite John Mayer song… but this is the greatest performance I’ve ever seen. Hands down.
This is a killer performance, isn't it? So raw, so tender, so true, so screaming and weeping and ... Actually I am a classical opera singer (bass) and as an instrument I just play piano (mostly J.S. Bach). Usually I detest pop music. But not with John Mayer, and especially not with this very performance of Slow Dancing In A Burning Room. That guitar solo is an emotional eruption, and after 25 times it still transports me into space.
