Hello Tina, The dry pencil won't show through the back. However, if water is applied to Inktense, it very likely could show and also cause the color to softly bloom on the front. My very first slow stitch piece is proof. I had paper towels handy so I was able to blot and dry the front successfully. It did bleed through the back and I did blot and dry there as well. The back didnt show through the front. They are called Inktense for a reason😊 I love working with them!
Hi Tina, in this project I've used the pencils dry and if a little of the colour shows through the stitching I'm ok with that as it adds to the depth of colour and it won't be running anywhere. Like Susan I love Inktense because you can control (to a degree) where you want the colour to be, and how intense. :)
Loved spending some stitchy time with you while folding up some fabrics onto cards for easy storage and finding. Your piece is looking great - love the whimsy 🤗 Good luck with the house works. cheers, Christine
I’m so glad you shared Betty as that was the last video before you went on your little hiatus from YT. She’s looking lovely and so is your current Roxy piece. Thanks for the cheerio too, glad you enjoyed the stash video - I enjoyed seeing your fabric purchases so much loveliness out there 🤗 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
I love the woodpecker you’ve chosen for your journal; and absolutely love the project bag choices! This is a wonderful start and rabbit hole travels!TFS! 😊
So lovely to spend some quiet stitching time with you, your plans and lovely fabrics. I think you have invented a new drink: the Suffolk punch - now I’m wondering what flavour it would be. Then again. Suffolk puffs sound like some kind of pastry. Words are funny things. Ooh I love your handmade paper! Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
You’ve got some great ideas, I too find it helpful to talk out my ideas and find that the answers then come to me. The roots will look great and love your colour scheme - all the best Sally 🌼
I'm in the Uk and got the Art Journal Fabrics by Riley Blake from www.sewhot.co.uk/ I got them last year so not sure what they will have left. Otherwise you could try googling them. They are gorgeous and worth hunting for. Good luck. :)
I just purchased Cathe Holden Flea Market material and I was looking at it and thinking what can I use from it. Thanks for showing what you used, great inspiration.
Thank you for sharing. You have some good ideas. I've started mine . I'm working on the title page and the first prompt. I haven't done the cover yet. Good luck to you and also to me. I'm from Arizona. I spend 6 months in the eastern part of Arizona high in the mountains in the forest where it is cool in the summer. Then 6 months in the desert in the winter which has mild winters . The desert is very hot in the summer( like 120 F) . Mostly about 112 or so. My book will be 6mo of forest and 6 mo of desert. I'm excited to work on this project . I like to watch you ladies work on your projects on RU-vid, very enjoyable.😊🌵🌲💕😎
That sounds fabulous I love your idea for half forest half desert. Arizona always looks so lovely and I am interested in what flowers and plants you will use in your project. I live in North Wales, UK so we have four seasons with lots of rain in all of them. We don't get as much snow or heavy frosts as we used to, which means we have different bugs now to when I was small. Summer is a couple of weeks in June then maybe a couple of weeks in August. It's really broken up here and it's pot luck to holiday here in the UK due to the weather. Autumn is beautiful as we are surrounded by tree's and I always love the changes in the colour of the leaves, not so much raking them up though. I love watching everyone's projects coming to life on RU-vid, there are some incredibly talented stitchers out there. I'm starting the first prompt this morning, so heading into a pile of fabric. Enjoy your stitching :) xxx
