When you were stitching round the edge, when you got to the last stitch did you tie a knot? I saw you cut the thread but didn't notice if you tied it off or how! Thank you 😁
Is it not necessary to trim off the front with a scissors or razor (just like when making using tufting gun). And what type of glue did you use? Is there any other alternative that it is as great as monks cloth though probably cheaper? P.S. Sorry for tons of questions, I am just super interested with this stuff but don't know where to start. Thank you!
No worries, sorry for the late reply. Hope you're still doing art! No it's not necessary, it depends on what look you prefer for your coasters :) if you do decide to trim off the front, make sure you punch with larger loops. I used Elmer glue. For monks cloth alternative, you can maybe try using burlap. I've seen some creators using it and achieved good results even though I've personally not used burlap before.

hello!! i would not recommend using a tufting gun as most totes uses fabrics with weave that do not allow as much give that is needed for tufting. secondly, given how the gun works, you wont be able to tuft directly on the tote without deconstructing the tote bag first!
