Welcome to the place where I get hopelessly lost in nostalgia and am prone to taking frequent trips down television and movie memory lane. And I wouldn't mind a bit of company if you have nothing better to do at the moment.
I was five when it came out, If I saw it at the theater I did not remember. I did see it on television when I was about ten. I liked it even though I saw it in black and white, with commercials. I was still impressed.
As a child, this film both scared and intrigued me. It’s like you’re scared to look but something draws you in anyway. Shortly after seeing it , I became very interested in the sky and the planets and stars etc. My dad bought me a telescope which I positioned half out and half inside my bedroom window. There weren’t any houses in that view- just land and trees so I had plenty of ‘territory’ to watch where a flying saucer might land. What a great time of life that was. I still love this movie. Brings back great memories and provides that temporary escape into fantasy and memories of what it was like to feel the fear and fun of childhood. Thank you for the video. It was great and VERY well done! 👏🏻👍🏻
I'm in my 70's and as young lad, I saw this movie and yes scared me had dreams about it for weeks and yet I thought this was (is) excellent.. still one of my favorites more then 60yrs later.
Dr. Zauis already knew that Taylor was on Earth before he realized it himself by telling Taylor not to look for it because he won't like what he finds, and Dr. Zauis was right.
I'm waiting for someone so corageus to make a movie where (finally!) some "civilized" humans arrive on the planet of the apes.....and issue an order 66-like on them!
It’s such a classic line that has been imitated and parodied so many times, but Charlton Heston’s delivery of it is unmatched. You know he’s been waiting to say this for most of the story while he was mute.
Never watched the OG movies. Only now just realised that these are the exact words that the caretaker of the apes says right before Caesar speaks for the first time in Rise. Nice reference.
@@eternalproductionsthat first movie is 55 years old dude. You can't expect people to know all about older movies when newer movies are released and executed very well. Why are you being so negative?
