I'll try to do so. The services I use for this are a little expensive. But if I'm able to sell a whole course in Spanish, it might help cover the cost of it. 😊👍👍
Darren, great stuff. Could you help with an issue I'm having getting off the ground. I've watched some of you videos and folllowed steps but I'm trying use Patch to write to on-prem sql server tables and I'm getting error shown below. I was successfull at showing data but not updating or adding records. Patch( Patch( , DataTable2.Selected, { RecurringTask: txtTaskName.Text } ) tblRecurringTasks = There is an error in this formula. Try revisiting the formula and running it again. | DataType: Table
Hello! Great video! I have a dataverse question. I am trying to move my access database over to Dataverse so I can use powerapps and PowerBI with my data. I'm working on moving my tables over and getting the data types straight and I had a question about the formula data type in the dataverse columns. How would I go about multiplying Column 1 from Table 1 by Column 2 from Table 2 with the column creation being in Table 1? I tried to use an if statement stating that if the IDs are equal in both tables, then multiply the values from the two columns. I currently have this line of code: If(Table1ID = Table2.Table2ID, Column1 * Table2.Column2) and it returns nothing. I have a Many:One relationship between Table 1 and Table 2. Thank you for your help!
This was the 4rth time I started watching this video. The duration is very intimidating so I thought I would start only on a day where I would have enough time to cover a substantial bit of this video so that I don't leave it in between. However, once I got into the groove, it was bingeworthy. I learnt so much from just the first 37 minutes that I didn't want to stop. I like the way you make things very simple, think on the fly, and do loud thinking. PowerApps is not something someone can learn just by following instructions, you need to have a thought process and your way of teaching helps students develop that. Thanks a lot, keep coming up with such videos, but do add a disclaimer - "Don't get scared by the video length, the stuff discussed in here is fairly easy to grasp" This would definitely encourage students like me who have a little bit of basic knowledge and want to take it to the next level. Thanks again, you are awesome!
Thank you for this. It made my day. 😋👍👍❤🔥❤🔥 I do long videos like this almost every Saturday morning. Have you seen any of the others? ...and, if so, would you say the same about any of or most of the other long ones? ...if not, what makes this one in particular stand out as more valuable? It's my job to identify what is the absolute most valuable to you guys, and do more of that, and not whatever pops in my head. Thanks so much for this comment. I will pin it! 😍
@@PowerAppsTutorial you are most welcome, thanks for honoring my comment. I am on a steep learning curve and am watching a lot of your videos and commenting wherever possible. I particularly loved your left menu video. In fact I tried joining skool but got rejected. Also I work with Excel and powerbi youtubers for their content and downloadable files, so if u ever need a helping hand I am available, lmk where I should contact you for those. I love the fact that it is about reusing screens...that's one great aspect of PowerApps, for example I have reused the same popup in multiple apps...I want to build an inventory of items, like components so I can deliver faster... Thanks, love your videos
Thanks for honoring my comment by pinning it. I am on a steep learning curve and am watching a lot of your videos, will definitely express my comments on the ones I like. One of my favorites is the LeftMenu Component. The best part about this video is that it focuses on the reusability aspect of PowerApps. I am aiming to build an inventory of apps/screens/components to be able to deliver the projects faster. I work with Excel and PBI RU-vidrs for their videos scripts, files, and courses, so I can definitely do the same for you, do lmk where I should contact you for that. Keep up the great work, hope to work with you soon. Thanks

I loved this idea so much that I made it my first SQL DB in learning SQL. So I have it on eval for 6 months. that takes me right up to playoffs. Its perfect. Do you have or know of any videos on setting up the tables in SQL? I'm using GPT for that but would love to see it done as well.

I may be too naive, but so far, AI is good to create/affect lot of data faster. Everything details (like title, create single column ) you try in this video seems faster if you do the changes by yourself instead of typing to the AI. The fact that it can create all the table at once is really interesting. I repeat, it’s my modest opinion
Yeah, it's true. If I didn't know how to design databases or develop software, I probably would have thought "Oh, that looks great". At first I didn't realize I could manually enter/change them.
Great video. Please could you share how to do this but adding data to a new excel sheet that generated each time the power app is used? Perhaps using automate flows for this?

Great tutorial. I was wondering what if I have sub pages that is not any of those buttons. How do I turn off the selected fill? It seems to be on 'Home' by default on a subpage.
Fantastic, EXACTLY what the Dr ordered! Question: Where and what would you enter in the filter to show all records if nothing was chosen in the combobox?
@@PowerAppsTutorial I was reading that you're a relationships expert. For sharepoint lists being used primarily by power apps, do you reccommend using single text columns over lookup columns for simplicity? And if so do you have any videos on that? Creating list associations with signle text column. I guess it would need a ID column too? LOL so lost on this stuff as I'm new to it all.
Nice video! I'm not much of a database person, but I'm very curious about how you connect multiple sharepoint lists together in a 1 to 1 relationship using the ID column as the primary key. Surely, if the lists have a different amount of records those ID numbers won't match up to another list ... can you explain how you get the two lists to connect via this ID?
@@PowerAppsTutorial Thanks for the clarification - I didn't realize you were simply patching one list's ID into the other list as seperate column, I thought it was directly comparing each list item's ID to ID which didnt make any sense lol. So is there any downside to NOT using the ID column, and for two seperate lists to use one single unique identifier like "CustomerName" which will always be the same on both lists? Thanks.
Oh yeah. You're still going to have delegation problems. Which is why I tell people never use choice or any other complex types. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5mHjbzQefcw.htmlsi=W0gTa6nx3gIxwUsd
Hi Sir your video is very informative and quite detailed.thanks. I sm just wondering if you have video training also of the template you use before you start this video. Thanks very much
This is fantastic... I am starting to learn and this is one of the most comprehensive tutorials out there... Although you need to combine it with several other learnings but still it is one of the best and detailed one. Thanks. Patch function is now my favorite and I also created the IF function for the gallery using my knowledge from other watching tutorials, so it was a good practice. Thanks!
Awesome buddy... I am creating my first model driven app for Innovation tracker. So If any one in organization have innovation idea then user can log that in my model driven app. later on it will get validated and approved. For that I was in need to create an INNOVATION_ID. I don't want to use Power Automate. So I spend more than 8 to 9 hours on internet and found your video on youtube which is perfect best fit for my requirement. you are my savvier !!
The Upload now button saves attachments for each staff while the Save changes patches both the Timesheets and also the attachments for all users for the week
Hi actually I was using a List in Share point . In That List there is column where we can search and select employee id(People type) . When I am conneting that with EDit Form I am getting a drop down list where if i search and click user id and save it will save in that list But When I am Trying select Default Selected Item as Office365 user Id it will select but after saving the form it will not send that data to list as There was no click operation from suggestion box. If you have any idea Please share ?!

I have a note application which has a question "do you have anything to add to the do list" and then there is text field (microsoft forms) that accepts items separated by a comma. the intention is to have some power sutomate magic that calls the the task app as soon as the note is completed, I"m going to change this to a radio button and then on Yes I want to open the task app. I love to know how to make that work.
This is very much possible, you can utilize the launch function to call your application: Join my FREE community and post your question along with screenshots to get a more detailed info on your question www.skool.com/power-apps-community/
