The spiral wrap improves casting especially on casting rods for people who are wondering personally I’ve never seen a spiral wrapped spinning rod because the guides are already located on the bottom of the spine.
I like to use a butt weight on some of my rods. I like it for casting. Helps a bunch if you know what you are doing. Nice job on that but I’m not sure I want to take my nice Bulls Bay rod and start doing that. It works fine the way it is!!! To each their own. He seen the most darned things on RU-vid here as far as what people will do to catch fish or win a tournament!!! I love some of the tech, but man some people go way overboard!!!! JMHO.
