All of these negative comments about a 83 year old man playing guitar, you pathetic people. What did you really expect? Just go back to his very first record and you’ll hear perfect picking from a genius. Just him, guitar and John Hammond watching in awe.
It's a shame Billy couldn't deal with the ghost of Jer through John. He was by far the best fill. After Jer passed I thought they should've asked David Nelson but after hearing John I was wrong.
So glad someone captured and posted this video. Looks like it wasn’t far from where we were sitting, which really makes it special. I was very surprised when Bob picked up the guitar for this one song. For once I was in the right place at the right time: Vegas with Dylan playing.
Bravo! This Ilsey song has a very special meaning to me, so I was leery of seeing it covered by someone. But this cover is exquisite. Those singers are amazing.
Love this song, Ilsey is a fantastic songwriter and little did I know, performer . first time I heard this, it hit home on every level. Thanks you for the three line. "I'll keep running, ill keep running 'til you stop running through my mind"
The three night run was amazing. Rich's vocals have developed to a magical level live. I was in the front row of the loge for this show and know how blessed I am to have been there.
Can't stop listening to this on repeat. Just rediscovered this song by Ilsey the other day, but was wishing it was moodier. Then I found this and it's just what I was looking for!!
The above caption would make a lovely hat for our man Bob Dylan, where would we be if Bob Dylan did not record and play his songs and told us his stories over the past 60 years, we would be less advised and we would have missed out on the Shakespeare of brilliant rocking folk and world music, Yes Bob is the Patron Saint of brilliant music, God continue to bless Bob Dylan.
My mama was named “Stella” (née Harrington) born in 1930 in Bethlehem, Maryland. I learned on guitar/vocals and performed the “Stella Blue” originated by Jerry Garcia when she died in 2009. R.I.P. and love you mom, grateful for all your support in my 50 year career in music.
