Saw them early 76 at the Warehouse in NO and they absolutely blew the roof off the place, Tommy Shaw had just joined the band and him and JY put on a guitar show for the ages, still to this day one of the top live shows I've ever seen.
"A full set of comedy is not complete without a couple of callbacks." I love people who know comedy... Read: "Sick in the Head" "Last Words" "Born Standing up" "I killed" "I shouldn't be Doing This" "How to Talk Dirty and Influence People..." I could go on and on. Comedy is art.
Hello Mr. Bolan! I'm a big fan of your band Skid Row ever since the 1st album which was a great awesome album I still listen to it at times when I'm playing 80's to 90's heavy metal bands on my new bass guitar which is my 18th bass & this bass is truly amazing bass I went up one more string higher a Ibanez 7-string bass guitar made of mostly a hard wood I forgot what kind of wood but it's really a heavy full body bass guitar! I always thought your bass playing was so dam awesome especially on the 1st album 1989! It's awesome that you hired a new front-man to be your new album anxious to listen to it! Jim Greszczuk! To be honest with you man I never liked that 1st idiot that did your 1st 2 albums! Such an useless asshole! He can sing but his personality really sucks! Congrats on your new album

JY I have loved your music for a lifetime you guys are one of my favorite bands of all time. But you and Tommy need to put the ego aside. Quit acting like babies and bring Dennis back to tour for 50 years of great music. Do it for the fans not because you have egos that hated Denises more fluffy lyrics. Come on man do it for us
Stop it. That’s like asking your ex to move in no matter how miserable it makes everyone. This happens in bands all the time. Watch the CMN concert. It was just a miserable thing watching them play as unhappy as they all were.
It was not Dennis' love ballads. JY and Tommy were insanely jealous of him. Babe went to #1 without their help. You can only stand on stage and play guitar for so long. Both music change and fans get older. Dennis tried to adapt they didn't
Chris’sakes! I had no idea that he lost his wife man. That’s truly a sad thing to hear about my favourite member of this band for sure. Such an underrated guitarist who I’d had no clue he was a founder of Styx. Stay strong J.Y. Sincerely, DJP Anal Cunt; Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Greetings 🖖 😮from Boston, Massachusetts Amerikkka quite obviously by the commentaries below show. People? Please get yourselves a life or a job or something positive instead of writing stupid shite underneath this very line ✍️ Christ almighty.. ( poor guy)
Love Leanne I so was in her situation. Honey wait until your 73. It’s until death do we part. 45 years together. He still things he’s king of the hill and I let him but we know better don’t we woman.
Styx sounds great and is such a success Without Dennis....nobody needs Pompous and Prideful member aka Dennis to cause drama. Dennis is definitely talented but I don't think Dennis could handle the very talented Tommy as his bandmate. And Dennis voice is fading as he's aged....Gowan does great and I'm a die hard fan from the 70s!! Saw LG..and he is so talented. The rock and roll hall of Fame means NOTHING to me....too many great bands not there while others in should not be in there.
Really? I'd really like to know more about that. Blue Oyster Cult has been emminently qualified for induction since 1997 (25 years after release of first album). The Cowbell skit came out in 2000. There's been a lot of speculation over why BÖC hasn't been inducted. The closest reason I can think of is that it has something to do with personal grudges between certain individuals who were involved with the band in their formative years, namely Richard Meltzer and Sandy Pearlman. Pearlman is gone, but Meltzer is still around. Every year, there's nary a word about a possible nomination. The band certainly ticks all of the boxes. It's almost parallel to the Pro Football Hall of Fame where Les Richter, a legendary linebacker from the 1950s was kept out of the Hall until after his death in 2010. It's been speculated he was ignored because of a grudge held against him by famed coach George Halas, who had tremendous influence over the Hall in Canton, Ohio. The odd thing about Blue Oyster Cult is that Patty Smith and Metallica are inductees. Smith was a significant contributor to the band as a songwriter and vocalist. She was also in a romantic relationship with Allen Lanier, one of the founding members. She's also appeared with BÖC many years after the breakup and maintains friendly relations with the band. Metallica members are also fans of BÕC and have covered a couple of their songs. How the Cowbell skit would prevent BÖC's induction seems ass backwards. If anything, the skit should strengthen their case for nomination, because influence on the broader culture IS a qualification for induction. The Cowbell skit is one out of multiple reasons the band SHOULD be inducted.
I may not agree with Cy on everything politically, however, I have enjoyed his music for 41 years. Shuttered Rooms is still an album I can pull out and listen to.
I watched Richard William's jam as usual after 50 years! I applaud him knowing it is a long road from start to where he stands now. I have been a huge Kansas Fan from AZ and saw them in the late 70s in Tucson and 2 times in Pinetop AZ around 2013. I watch the story of how Phil Ehart put the band members together and both Rich and Phil, who is Managing the Band now should be recognized for 50 years of Excellence 🎉 Loyal Fan Always!!!
