Justice for obessed. My favorite Addison songs to this day. I love the story it tells, it could’ve been u is also amazing. Diet Pepsi is addicting and I’m so happy to see everyone love it
if I Can't Have Love I Want Power is legit my favorite album of all time, not a single flop on it 🔥 Halsey is such an amazing artist, and I really hope they do know that there are a lot of us out here who do love her 🥺 And aside from her artistry, her ACTIVISM is so inspiring to me. They don't just talk the talk, they really walk the walk.
So what do people do for money? Im serious... im literally surving off gig apps and slot machines at this point until I find a job in this abysmal job market :/
YOU GET IT. I LUV IT is one of my favorite songs of the year, along with Diet Pepsi. I LUV IT was so experimental for a pop-girl, and the Carti feature enhanced it sm. She really tried something different. And Addison is just iconic asf always
Nooo didn't know they existed! He was my first concert though I do remember tracks like "OTP" and more of the parody songs back in the day. Were there other tracks too?
They're amazing and definitely deserve better. I think a big problem is that people hear the singles and dont dive deeper into the rest of her discography which is unfortunate
OMG THİS GIRL KNOWS WHAT SHE TALKİN ABOUT. Love you bestie you are complately right and telling people what I try to explain for years. I am couldnt be more greatful. THANK YOU AS AN HUGE HALSEY FAN!!!
I don't see this get talked about enough in these conversations but another big problem is employers have, for a while now, filtered for applicants who have experience doing the exact same tasks as what the job application's tasks entail. This means that more people are not learning as many new skills as they could, nor does it mean that employers are teaching their employees new skills or giving them opportunities to do it on their dime. So now we have a bunch of people who are heavily discouraged from venturing out and trying new career tracks or even doing something adjacent to that they were doing because the moment they teeter off the linear pathway they become less competitive. I noticed this mostly because I'm a generalist and thus have no real specialty, so finding even entry level work is almost impossible.
Even though I think she deserves more recognition and IICHLIWP deserves the success that Manic got, I think there's something beautiful about an artist being successful enough to make whatever art they want but not famous enough that they can't like go out. I think she's somewhere in the middle of that and I hope she sees her success in this way and that she's able to keep her career but also have a normal life and raise her beautiful son in peace.
One thing to note is she has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. A condition I myself suffer from. This makes pregnancy incredibly risky. Tbh I used to not like Halsey for some reason. I don’t like the pop genre that much but upon learning about how much we share with health and life events- I’ve grown to see her as an inspiration for me, especially with how hard she works. I find it so hard to barely chase my dreams because of the chronic pain this condition gives, her music is offering a light.
If it feels like your job luck is supernaturally bad, if you’re getting desperate enough to look outside the box and consider a crazy-sounding answer for why people aren’t getting hired, keep reading. It’s because of an ancient curse that’s been triggered. Native born Americans are losing jobs bigtime, but immigrants are gaining jobs. Americans are less and less religious. In Deuteronomy 28, a there is a list of blessings for nations who obey God, and a list of curses for nations and people who don’t. This is one of them: “The foreigner among you will rise higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. They will be the head, and you will be the tail. They will lend to you, but you will not lend to them.” In 2007 I was a young adult and an atheist. I remained an atheist until 2019. The whole time I was rejecting God, I had every kind of job problem and financial difficulty imaginable. I would try and try to make a break happen, or find someone with connections, you name it. Nothing worked. Everything hopeful-looking turned out bad. But when I gave my life to Jesus, for the first time in 12 years my finances started getting better, through zero effort of my own! Jesus says “come to me all who are weary laden. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am lowly and gentle in spirit and you will find rest for your souls.” His promise is true! So why does God supernaturally block us from success when we reject Him? It’s not because He’s cruel or mean. It’s so we come to the end of ourselves, realize we’re powerless, and become willing to listen to Him. He’s God, we’re the creations. He made us, He knows what we need better than we do, and the thing we need most is to be forgiven of our sins so we can have peace with God. When we have peace with Him, we receive blessings, not curses! Having a relationship with God is so amazing that you can’t really describe it, you just have to experience it. It’s like trying to describe a sunset to a blind person. When you’re tired of looking for jobs, look for Jesus. When you have Him, everything else you need will follow!
Ever since I started Listening to her, the music had this absurd connection to my life, and while I may not like some music upon release I found myself with them just as much as any other artist of my liking, sometimes a song suddenly starts hitting you
I've applied to literally 1,000 jobs during the last 5 months and have had ZERO offers, and only a few interviews (that went nowhere). I have a Bachelors degree, 6 years of experience, and NOTHIN. SOS. MY SHIP IS SINKING.
I love her with all of my heart and she is so underrated even after 10 years. Yeah she has had some radio hits but people don't listen to whole albums!!! And they are really fucking great
I've been faithful to her music since Badlands , but Nightmare was what made me fall in love with her art all over again. 🪽 another NIN fan here! x w x
I actually saw the movie in the theater! Watched it multiple times since and it's always fantastic. They did a great job of telling a story with only tracks from a single album and visuals... I think there's like 3 lines of spoken dialogue for the entire thing and you never need another sentence again. It was wild hearing the songs in the movie before getting to actually hear the album because it dropped at midnight.
lol no thanks. a few years ago there was a thread abt her and one of the tweets was abt how she kissed an underage fan, from then on i just felt icky about her.
Ashley always does different stuff in her Music and thats what always keep close to her, she is not afraid to do whatever the hell she wants to and is always sooo beautiful
Also, the IICHLIWP film is STUNNING! I’m a filmmaker myself and I found it incredibly executed. The fact that she managed to shoot this while heavily pregnant is astounding.
i have been WAITING for someone to discuss halsey and this album. i feel like every other artist that is in the mainstream, and most definitely arent underrated, gets their flowers and is overly considered underrated except for her. every time i go on twitter and there is a hit tweet about her, its always in a way to undermine her and treat her as if she is still a "cringey" 18 year old. she is the only artist right now who can effectively execute a concept from pre-release to post-release and have every part of the experience mean something. people completely disregard the level of work involved in every one of her projects, and how her entire discography is one big cohesive world of music. shes just so impressive as a storyteller and i really hope people start to explore her discography the way she deserves them to
