I absolutely LOVE this cover, it's an absolute masterpiece. I listen to rock, hard rock and metal and the other two or three rock bands who have done this song (that I've heard) have all tried to make it too heavy. None of them managed to capture the haunting darkness the original had, and they couldn't even get close to the intense anticipation Phil Collins managed to build. In This Moment did it. They NAILED that dark, intense slow burn and the anticipation builds and builds perfectly until you're holding your breath, right up to that drum breakdown so you feel it in your chest. And Maria Brink's voice, OMG. I knew she could sing, but I did not know she could sing like THAT, holy hell. Like I said, an absolute masterpiece.
Similar experience here: I had completely and utterly forgotten about this song for decades, randomly heard it again a couple of months ago, and completely fell in love with it. What's funny is that, upon rediscovering it, I'd have SWORN that it was from the early 00s. Their sound was slightly ahead of their time, in hindsight. Also, a super fun chorus to sing along to. Gotta practice it for my next karaoke night, lol. EDIT: And yup, every single day I have a moment where I wonder where the hell time has gone.
Not everyone is the same height and it is rude to stand while blocking the view of the person behind you. Respect seems odd sometimes when feeling passion but if you love respect, you will do what is what you think is proper.

Excellent reaction and review brother. And your politics on the video content was spot on. What interests me is that folks like Elon are revered- with his ideas of colonizing Mars etc. Ironic- we f@ck up the earth and instead of pouring resources and brainstorming to improve life on this planet- he looks towards an already shell of a planet to colonize IMHO.
