I am honored that my jet was a part of that historical event. “Outlaw”, and all the other 10’s I have worked on will be greatly missed. Thank you for this tribute. She’s one of a kind. The only thing that stopped Big Sexy was congress and money. There was plenty of flight time left on the airframes.
Likewise man. I was there this morning. It was emotional, made me realize yeah sure the jet is probably the most capable tanker that will ever be built, but its the people. The people were what mattered and why the KC-10 community fucking rocked.
I’m an old March AFB guy… went thru initial qual training on the -10 in Jan 1994, then went to Travis in May 95… flew it until I retired in May 2011 with over 6200 hrs in her… I’m a 787 guy now, but the -10 is still my favorite girl..). Very nice airplane to fly… I’ll always miss her..

Waste of time and money for the Italian government to send this outdated aircraft carrier to show how insignificant this is. Will be obliterated in matter of minutes if it goes to war with PLAN.
