Queen: "According to the latest poll, 93% said they didn't want to see Camilla made Queen" Charles: "I thought we'd sorted that out. She's going to be called Princess Consort" Queen: "Sounds like something they make in Coventry...The government's concerned that if she's not to be Queen they'll have to pass a new law"... Quite!
They're British, one doesn't show a ton of emotion over money. They're not trained with over the top gameshow reactions. I'm from Boston and we get the British because we're like them.
THE greatest Doctor of all time. He had the strongest, most consistent era of the show, thanks to producer Barry Letts and script editor Terrance Dicks. There was a great sense of continuity, good callbacks to prior stories, a wonderful cast of UNIT characters and a fairly different direction for the Doctor, certainly in his early seasons. I don't honestly think Pertwee had a single BAD story. Even the weakest ones, like Claws of Axos, are very solid stories. I love all the first four Doctors, and I at least like the actors of the 80s Doctors. But once I finally got to see more and more of his stories, Jon Pertwee firmly became my favorite of all time.
JP was my first Doctor and my fave. The Sea Devils was my first story. I was 10 in 1992 when it was repeated. Star Trek was being rerun on Wednesdays and Dr Who was shown on Fridays. I loved it.
More hilarious camcorder calamities and mobile phone mishaps with Harry Hill, featuring tots in training for 2012, a footballer on ice and a dog that steals the show at a wedding.
At 14:14 there is a beautiful "ladies Box" from the 1800's! What I want to know is what is in the bottom of the box, under the top tray of sewing accessories & manicure kit? Makers of things back then did NOT waste that much space! Why wasn't it shown? Did the presenter not realize it existed, or is there another reason? Color me curious! Thanks for any info!
I've seen a similar box, and it had embroidery silks in that space. So probably a space like that held fabric, yarn, embroidery thread or something else to sew.
