I've been using my old traditional mask for over 20 years and I have used my full face mask for about 5 years . Yes I agree that full face masks are for bunch of newbies and retards which what I have look like when I use my full face mask . Don't get me wrong I do enjoy using it and when I see someone else using it , I try to stay away from that person . 😂 but when I do spearfishing or freediving especially in the Rocky locations , traditional masks always there with me to join my dive . Itvis water seepage, filling small ponds, in reality it is clean water, seep through rock and samd, Its not a boiling water, so may ne some bacterias present, but no dirt

If some one wants to try for the first time seriously consider renting from a local shop for a day. If you hate it no sweat if you love it then you can skip the cheap step and go strait to a mid grade yak.
