I love a good train ride like this, I have take two rides, The train ride out of Williams Arizona to the Grand Canyon and the train ride out of Durango Colorado, both were fantastic. Thanks for sharing with us!
wow thank you for this - it is rather beautiful isn't it? I have just discovered that my 2 x great grandmother was buried her in 1862 - trying to find a grave map is the next thing. I can't keep dragging my husband around cemetires on the off chance! this, however, does look very abandoned! But amazing to see - thank you for uploading and i am sorry about your relative who must have had a hard life
Sorry for the tardy response... I am not very active on this account. I was happy to provide this slide show for others with family laid to rest here. Thank you for the kind words regarding my great grand uncle, David. 🙏🙂
Hello GenealogyMAD my last name is Williams I've always wondered if the Williams come from Ireland and wales and if the Williams came from there to the US
Hello Thomas... I am sorry for the late response. Not all Williams' are related to one another. The trick is to discover/uncover your branch. Having said that - some of your ancestors could very well have emigrated from Ireland. And yes, some decendants of my line did in fact emigrate from North Wales to the USA. 🙂👍
Im a Williams from the Florida branch, Descended from Redden Williams and John and Winnie williams, but it goes back all the way to Fredrick Williams and David williams! Even John Williams IV
oh boy you and my dad would of got along , if he was still alive i would tell him about your channel,,, its because of him i know im related to The Dalton Gang!!! the criminals back in the days of the wild wild west, and i also know that my other half came over from germany in the late 1600s but as you know finding records can be tough, you have to rely on census records and military records, good channel
@@genealogyMAD i really find it interesting, its important to know your roots,, and thanks to the census records i know my family was mostly carpenters and farmers
Start with a question you want answered and go from there --- for example: who is my grandmother? Where was she born? What was her maiden name? When and where was she married? Is there a marriage record? Does she have a baptism record? These documents can then provide the name of her parents.
hi, mofo -- tone here! check me out at 17:54 ! With me there I see unfg (Unforgiven), jnrs (Joners), Ozds (Ozymandias), and val- I recall cman was also there.
Never been to a convention but I used to hang around 2.77 and Armored Assault. Call sign: bnshee. I had a squadron for a spell too: VFA-81 The Long Lancers. Used to tangle with the Menacing Ferrets from time to time. And I remember tangling with a guy who was a wizard in a P-40. His call sign was Ibex and he used to school me in my F4U from time to time.
It's identified in the video description... it's the Royal Oak district of Greater Victoria BC. 4673 Falaise Road Victoria, Capital Regional District, British Columbia, V8Y 1B4 Canada
I'm a Williams by birth. I'm one of Buck Williams' girls. He had a green hardback book of our family line with all the same information in it. I would LOVE to get my hands on a copy of that book. I'm from the Williams branch that settled into the Florida in the 1700s. This is so exciting to see.
Hey David... no need to sub this channel but if you can sub "The Music Mam Livestreams channel that would be a big help. But yes, this film footage is quite the find. 🙂
Hi GenealogyMAD i found this video very interesting and i have wanted to know my lineage for very many years, i was adopted around the age of 7yrs and i know nothing about my real family even though i did meet my mother and father. I was born Mark Williams and all i know about my family history is that my grandfather lived in the Snowdonia region , Sadly my father moved to America and has since passed away and also my mother passed a year before. Thankyou for your family story and i will keep trying to find any information when we get out of this dreaded lockdown.
Hey Rich... my apologies for the tardy response. DNA testing is a great way to restore broken family ties. I found out my bio father's identity and that of my biological grandfather as he was adopted when young too.
I have an ancestor who is buried there (my maternal Grandmothers side). He was a wealthy merchant who lived in Princes Park and gave his wealth to charities as bequested by his Will. He had 3 servants (butler, housemaid, cook). He was also a member of the Liverpool Town Council. He got elected in 1844. He won and represented the area South Toxteth.
I used to play this constantly back in the day when it was still beta... I was callsign Mofo and my buddy was Callsign Remo. When drove down from North Denver, Longmont. Was this the first Con(?) because I saw an article from a Dallas paper saying that there were baby Godzillas on the ground and what I remember from the Con we went to. The thing I DO recall was giving all Con attendants B-25s with the performance of Mustangs and up-gunned like crazy! No one outside the Con knew and the destruction was hilarious! That, and the drunken games of 3 ball! I'm trying to remember the names of the guest speakers they got for us. One was an old gentleman who was a Tuskegee pilot, and the other was an F-4 pilot who had written a book on the use of 'E' in a dogfight... At least that's how I remember it. The dude was awesome and we got out of control at a couple titty bars! Ahhh, mammaries!!! Does anyone remember their names?
I was at the first convention for Warbirds (Callsign - Mofo) and it looked just about exactly like this and thus I'm confused. I drove down to Dallas with my buddy, callsign Remo. Was the first Con in '96? That seems too early but another article I read described baby Godzillas on the ground! I do not recall that at all! I do remember that the guys who created the game, whose names escape me, decided to mess with players not at the Con by giving B-25s the nimbleness of a P-51 or other fighter and also up gunning them like crazy! It was hilarious! The games of 3 Ball in the side room was outstanding fun! Everyone was great there and it's a great memory for me and Steve (Remo). I'm trying to remember who the Tuskegee pilot that was one of our guest speakers and also the Viet Nam pilot who authored a book on conserving and utilizing Energy (as I recall)! Can anyone throw some light on who these great guys were!?
Hey Chris - The first con was Sept 5-8 called "Dogfight in Dallas" it was at the Holiday Inn Select. the Zillas appeared the following year at the 2nd con. The Nam pilot was Robert "Mouse" Shaw. Sadly, he passed away from cancer on March 15, 2017. The pool game was called "Crud". I missed the 96 con and the WarBirds book neglects to mention the name of the Tuskegee pilot. What squad were you guys in? Prop
@@genealogyMAD Thanks man! Sad about Shaw! I thought it was about 1996. I had a mouse pad from it that said Dogfight in Dallas! I still have it somewhere but it is pretty worn out! The pool was drunken and fun as hell! I thought it was 3 Ball though. Oh well. Damned if I can remember our Squadron's name. I think _doc and 3006 were in our squad, but that might be because those are the only callsigns I remember. I'll ask Remo if he remembers. I'm sure he does!
@@genealogyMAD My bud Remo reminded me that the squad was called 501s (Flying Flies) I guess it had something to do with Levis. We can't really remember.
I'm trying to trace my family history too, I am a Williams as well, as you can see. Only gotten as far as my 3x Great Grandfather Ernest Williams who was born in 1866.
Hey Luke... look for towns and occupations to help guide you in your search and to help you avoid confusing your ancestor with other potential candidates. :)
Hey you guys, Im a Williams from the Florida branch, Descended from Redden Williams and John and Winnie williams, but it goes back all the way to Fredrick Williams and David williams! Even John Williams IV
For Mr. Easy who asked about Irish migration. I am not sure. I have no documentation regarding Irish migration for members of my extended family. My 2x great grandfather did marry an Irish girl, Joanna Hurly 1809-1846 in Courtmacsherry. However, they ended up in Conwy.
Used to stay here on holiday every year from the age of 4 (summer 1973) till 16, staying in the labourer's cottage (visible at 1:10 and 3:04) when the farm was run by Mr and Mrs Thomas. There were also quite a few caravaners and campers who stayed on the farm back then too, and the children all used to tell stories of a murder, though looking back I just assumed it was what kids did, not that there really had been one! We used to go down to the beach nearly every day, through the gate at the side of the farmhouse (2:26), along the vehicle track that cut through all the ferns, then over a slate wall and down the narrow maze of tracks to the beach carrying buckets, spades, inflatable dinghy, oars and pump. There was also another slate-built house right at the end of the vehicle track which was let out to holiday makers. I'd like to go back there one day for old times sake and try to get back down onto the beach, but don't know if it's private property belonging to whoever now owns the farm. As an aside, I believe Mrs Thomas was the aunt (or some other close relative) of Kylie and Danni Minogue, whose family hailed from Blaenau Ffestiniog at the beginning of the 20th century.
Hello Neil ... thanks so much for your comment. It is a beautiful location and must have been pure magic in terms of childhood memories. It was a great thrill for me to visit the location. My ancestor (2x great uncle) was David WIlliams MP Merioneth 1799-1869 and it was he who likely set up my great great grandfather, Robert Williams there in the mid 1800s. John Williams, agent to William Madocks 1773-1828 was another 2x great uncle thru marriage to his wife Ann Williams. John was present for the construction of the house when the cob was being built. Thanks again, Neil :)
