I take it that you lot have not seen the mid mounted version of this? One of the brick carters and one of the stone suppliers have similar sort of machines, but, due to the weights they are moving, they have opted to mount the machine in the middle of the trailer, and have side load / unload. The brick carter gets up to 2 tonne / pallet, and the stone supplier pallets often exceed 2.5 tonne. Before you call BS on the latter, that weight was verified on a weighbridge. These machines are better than the telescopic, as they do not have a blind spot to the right, when the arm is at a certain height. However, in mud, on a steep slope, this type of machine can slide, rendering the operator a passenger, rather than a driver. The stone company had to call me in on a few occasions to complete what they were not able to do. One further feature that needs to be looked at is rear loading / unloading of the load. With space on the side of vehicles getting tighter and tighter, it may be prudent to look at how a machine can be set up so that it can lift itself onto a truck body to unload off the truck body.

Bennett Hitch Systems why would you need a tail lift at all if you have a demountable forklift.everytime you use the tail lift you have to unload the forklift out of the way unless you don’t take the forklift with you all the time. Thanks.i used a moffett everyday delivering timber to kitchen manufacturing companies and had it loaded or unloaded in 40 seconds.they are a great tool in the right job. Thanks.
Hi Kieran, Yes, this type of system (Tail lift and TMF) is used when the TMF is not always required, for example if the TMF was shared between vehicles or if the vehicle was double shifted (tail lift for one contract, TMF for another). As you suggested, generally it doesn't make sense because a TMF can do all and more that a tail lift can offer. We have to offer many different mounting solutions to meet customer's requirements / applications, most can easily be dismounted / mounted in less than 60 seconds as you mention.
