Every trowel has its advantages square for for flat slabs or where there is lots of flat areas like a school campus, I work a lot with gomacos chasing curb and gutter for miles and side walks, handicap ramps commercial driveways residential driveways and the preferred trowel for this work in my neck of the woods is round trowels all the way because you typically don’t hard trowel curb and gutter sidewalks so you use the trowel that doesn’t leave lines with high volume work you don’t have time to keep hitting over and over to wipe out the lines a square trowel leaves behind round trowels get you the cleaner finish when you have lots of detail trust me if you are using tricks to modify your square trowel like the nickel trick or slightly grinding the corners or bending the shank so your trowel won’t leave lines just use a long shank round trowel and your trowel stays flat and you leave lines on the wetter finishes and yes I also have 4x12 short shank round trowel great for touch up work on machine pours and yes short shank trowel are typically used for pools because the flex you get from the trowel is ideal for pools so basically what I’m saying to be a true pro have a healthy arsenal of weapons to make your life easier for the task at hand don’t bother trusting someone who’s stick doing things the hard way because don’t even get me started on the advantages you get from walking round trowels game changer!
I do not think that is lime mortar. It looks like cement with shells and small stones and sand. It is usually rock hard and stay hard for many years (30+).
That guy did 8x8 patch with a 4 inch knife and only extended mud 2 inches past the edge of the patch? That patch it definitely not flat. It has a hump and hasn’t been properly elongated. This video should’ve been done by a pro 😂
my thoughts exactly. was looking for a cleaner solution then dragging out the compressor and hopper in a million dollar house, but this AIN'T it. Maybe if the holes were smaller then it was knocked down after it was applied. But as it is, this solution is trash.
This system was significantly less expensive than other similar systems at the big box store. Worked great on my 12" x 24" floor tile project. I had a Schluter Systems underlayment and it didn't come out perfectly level, but this system evened it out. Every 1/8" joint is smooth enough to slide a coin across.
Why does the label say Bullet Tools and not Marshalltown? That logo looks really nice but so not like your normal industrial cartoon look. New ad agency?
I love working with this blade it's your own fault if u don't try it, it just works great an very simple to use , any open minded person will become a pro , 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
So.. what's wrong in this video? Preatty much everything..about the MORTAR. You do not repoint the brick joints with Mortar base on cement.. Ever!!! Everytime you use LIME!! ..or you can use Cement based MORTAR.. and your wall will soon start falling apart bit by bit...Cement MORTAR retain water.. inside the wall but it will not breed and that wall will never get dry again.. cousing expantions inside the wall when the winter freeze sets in.. then it starts to crack..and falll bit by bit..Don't ask how i know. In 17 years of doing only this type of work.. i've learned one or two things about MORTAR recipes.
I have never seen a cat screed that could hold level. All they do is flatten everything out. If u r not already almost dead one grade they are useless.
Useless, it will not hold grade. It will flex in the middle upward. Will not work with any slump under 6. Will not ride a form, aggregate will get under the roller. Cannot be used on open floors. If it sits too long between loads the cpncrete on it will cause it too lose level and not work properly. Junk. Dont waste your money.
