No more R68 R68AS on the A lines because more R211As R211Ts are coming for CBTCS for next year or the end of the year. The R68S R68AS will definitely be on the B D N W Q lines.
No more R68s R68AS on the A C lines because more and more R211As R211Ts are coming on the A C lines with the R179s . However you will definitely find the R68S R68AS on the B D N W Q lines.
So This Means That The R68 And The R68A Subway Cars Are Going On The N The Q And The W NYC NY Subway Train Lines Anyways Already After All Whatsoever Period Right?! HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaLOL!:-)
@@euromatrixkungAnd Speaking Of Which When Exactly Does The R262 And The R268 Subway Cars Arrive In The System Anyways If I May Ask You The Question About That Thank You Very Much And You?!:-)
@@josephortiz1990 The R262's will arrive to the system after the R211s are completed and that is probably in 2025-2030. The R268's will arrive after the R262s. The R268s would arrive probably 2030-2035 or little bit earlier than 2030. R262 will proceed to the A Division and they would likely go to the 4 5 6 and the 42nd Street Shuttle. R268's will proceed to the B Division and will be assigned to the N/W, Q, Franklin Avenue Shuttle, and probably the T line in the future if they completed Phase 3 of the 2nd avenue subway.
@euromatrixkung Well Then You Know What Sounds Good Enough For Me Then Just To Let You Know About That Thank You Very Much And You?! HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaLOL!:-)
I have a real serious question ❓. Don't you wish the 8 Thrid Ave Elevated line was still running without tairing it down using the R62AS R62S on the 8 Thrid Ave Elevated line right now?
Adleast the R68S R68AS will be on the B D N W Q lines including the R46S . The A C lines is getting CBTCS next year. Another thing also the only two equipments we have left on the IND BMT lines is the R68S R68AS and the R46S . It's like missing the 8 Thrid Ave Elevated line wich was tairing down in 1973 1975 .
One of MTA’s employees was telling me that this was ending soon. Also don’t know if this is 100 percent true or not he also told me that once Pitking gets enough R211s to retire the R46s the R179s that run on the A currently may be moving to Comcourse Yard for B&D service.
R179 5 car unit will be heading to 207 street yard to the C line. So 207 street yard can handle 10 car set of 5 car unit. So 207 street yard can displace #3146 - #3237 back to East New York Yard or to the G line. to run as 480' footers . as 8 car unit
I do know that the R,68/As will remain on the B D N W Q lines until the R268/As gets here to replace all the R68S R68AS on the B D N W Q lines. The G F is getting CBTCS including the A C lines is definitely getting CBTCS. The B D N W Q lines is not getting CBTCS for a good while.
a modern train would have had usb chargers inside, small tv screens that play ads that the mta can make money off, removing that center pole in the seating area, I can go on. this isn't really an upgrade from those electronic trains similar to these we saw about 15 years ago
There are a lot of fresh videos on RU-vid about New York's new R211 train. I keep getting them in recommendations and reading rave reviews. Excuse me, can someone explain why there is such great joy? These trains are previous century technology! If anyone wants to see what a modern subway is like, look for a video about the Big Circle Line (the longest in the world) in Moscow, opened on 03/01/2023.
@@Sergey_Bezhentsev The R211A is designed to be more energy-efficient and feature modern amenities for passengers, such as digital displays and USB charging ports. The R211A will be equipped with the latest safety features, including a collision avoidance system and an automatic train control system that will allow for more precise stopping at station platforms. Lastly, The R211A will also feature improved accessibility for riders with disabilities, including wider doors, more space for wheelchairs and strollers, and audio and visual announcements.
FOR 14 YEARS I TAKE THIS CARS,FOR RIDE BETWEEN JAMAICA AND HEMPSTEAD!!! NOW I CAN SEE AGAIN AT WOODSIDE STATION ,UNDER 7 TRAIN ,ALONG ROOSELVET AVE !!!! QUEENS COUNTY!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!!
I've seen this happen before, years ago when i lived in NYC. The (6) is probably terminating at Bowling Green perhaps due to trackwork or maintenance on its normal turnaround trackage, which is from Brooklyn Bridge southbound local track that loops around the old, abandoned City Hall Station back to Brooklyn Bridge northbound local track. The turnaround trackage from Bowling Green works the same way, looping through the old abandoned South Ferry station where the (1) used to be.
most of the r188s are converted r142a (the ones numbers from 7200s to 7500s the “native r188s”, which are the true new ones, are numbered in the 7800s and 7900s
This was during the R179 manufacturing door incident so all R179 needed to be sidelined and Jamaica Yard gave the A some R160 Alstom or Siemens as a loan.
