Follow our outdoor family adventures and daily life on our homestead.
Currently, we are in the middle of building our forever home (barndominium) on our homestead and recording the entire journey.
Donovan is a retired Army soldier of 20 years with 2 combat tours to Iraq. He met his wife, Linda, while they were both soldiers deployed to Kuwait. Fast forward 5 military moves and 4 kids later, they end up in Miami, FL, the fishing capital of the World. The summer of 2022, they made the life-changing decision to manage their fishing charter business of 6 years from afar by moving back home to Oklahoma to be closer to family, raise their kids in the country, and build their forever home on a 26 acre homestead.
Fishing, hunting, catch clean cook, living in our fifth wheel, DIY videos, raising chickens, insider's peek at our charter business, outdoor activities with the family, and building our homestead from the beginning are what you'll see in our videos.
# Replay Love watchin' you and your momma cookin' together! Reminds me of the times when my son and I cook together. 😊❤ Hey Ellie! She's getting so big! They grow up way too fast!🥲❤️ Great video, Donovan! God bless.😊❤
Thank you Christina, it is precious time I’ve missed out on while being in the Army but now trying to make the most memories I can. All these kids are growing like weeds. Have a blessed evening.
Just came across your channel. I love to see a man canning. This is very special as you are with your mom. Miss my mom dearly and thanks to her I can everything! Most pressure canning now. Salmon/meats etc. Very important to me to have a well stocked pantry. Cheers
Welcome to our channel, so grateful you found us and we hope you stick around awhile. We do all kinds of stuff on here. And thank you for your comment and have s a blessed one.
Donovan I love it when you and your mom cook together . I miss cooking with my mom .. She has rheumatoid arthritis and her hands miss shaped and very weak .She just turned 78 Sept .29th . But I do miss cooking with her . ♥️💜💛🧡🥰
Use some kitchen scissors to cut along the top of the spine on each side, then a cut along the side, just above the fin, on each side. Have the two cuts connect at the end of the tail and you can literally just pull the filet off the fish, straight off the bone.
I really like them but when you install them make sure to use so dielectric grease on the terminals because they can get locked on. Also never overtighten the nut on the stud because they are stainless and can jump threads making it impossible to remove, it happened to me once however the company did replace the battery for free.
Your terrible! You come on someone’s video looking for help, find the help you were looking for and because you didn’t get the instant gratification from this video you call me terrible? Your just a user! Your welcome for making a video to show you how to properly use this piece of equipment, if you don’t want to watch the quirky part of my video skip over till your satisfied but this video is just another video in my homestead journey about my retired life from the military, how I built a home for my family and the bumps and good times along the way. I don’t appreciate you adding your two cents in about how good or bad you think my video is. Who are you Steven Spielberg? Give me a break guy.
@@TeamTateOutdoors then add time stamps. Its misleading to showcasr something then give 5-6 minutes of yapping about anything but what was advertised on the video
@@TeamTateOutdoors also imagine as enraged as you are to where you felt the need to wrote out a ninja scrolks worth of yappology in order to make yourself feel better on a comment that didnt even directly insult you rather than just the pacing of the video itself
@@TeamTateOutdoors once you post yourself online. You are immediately subject to any and all forms of critisim Good bad smart stupid and even hateful Thats the risk that comes with projection
LOVED THIS!!!! Loved seein Ellie and Colton reeling in the fish! It's so good to see kids doing something fun and being outside! Loved that your mom came along, too. She sounded like she was having some fun, too. Donovan, you are such a great father, son, and uncle! Some day before I get to ancient, I hope to go fishing again. The last time I went fishing was in my 20s, and I'm 63 now. I'd go by myself, but I can't remember how to do anything but put the worm on a hook and throwing the line out. Even then, I'd probably hook myself throwin the line out!😂 🤷🏻♀️Oh well! I just love how you all are so tight. I grew up in a family that wasn't very close. My Dad was working (Air Force), stepparent was a drunk (I dont call her a mother), and my brother is 2 years younger than me. We lived in different countries, so we weren't close to grandparents, aunts, uncles, or cousins. Anywho, I just love your channel and watching you, Linda, your kids, and the rest of y'all's family. Oh, and we weren't raised with Christ in our lives. That's another reason I love your channel. Y'all love Jesus as much as I do. Awesome video, Donovan! Love when you go fish! Hope to see the fish fry with your family. God bless. 😊❤
Where do you live Christina? If your ever in Oklahoma I will take you fishing. Sorry to hear about your stepmother but I’m glad you found Jesus. Jesus is the glue that keeps our family together because he knows we sure aren’t perfect. When we trust in Jesus and then align our lives with him and walk daily with him he will make our paths straight, (not easy) but straight. Thanks for all your comments Christina.❤️
We have quite the armadillo problem locally but I couldn't pay anybody to actually eat one. Everybody mentions the leprosy risk though I would think this would cook out and the instances of armadillo testing positive is so miniscule
WOW! You hurt my head! The knowledge you have and how you can fix anything! You are one remarkable man! Linda, you are a very blessed woman. All your kids are so blessed to have such a wonderful Dad to learn from. Your grandfather is no doubt smilin with pride! To see his boat back on the water with family and fishin! Awesome job, Donovan! 👍😊👍
First time i ever seen fish with yo-yo always learning new things love it awesome video love it as always love you all God blessings to you and your family 💖🙏..
I believe they were from a company called Jugs by Bert. They are also known as flip overs. I will try to add a link to the description so you can find them in a couple days.
You have to know your grandparents were more to us than just friends, they loved us and we loved them. They "adopted" us and we them. Thus, we claim you too. Love you and yours.
Yes I know they did, they would always get excited when you, your wife and the boys were coming into town. We really need to get together sometime. Are you all still living in Arkansas?
