No, that ain’t the problem. It’s just that they’re being severely understaffed on purpose and no one wants to work there because of the atrocious salary they pay the employees. Not to mention the wage they pay doesn’t pay enough to actually care about theft.

There's no such thing as loss prevention for Walmart or secret shopper It doesn't exist When you steal they make more money they're fully insured so they make double what the product was Also they cannot stop anyone into your past the least line
I know its a skit but I had that happen to me one in Walmart and once in family dollar and its super annoying. I hate shopping and Im very indecisive and slow at it - I tend to put something in the cart, change my mind, go put it back, read the backs of labels, hold something for a long time while I stare at the shelf trying to see if there's a cheaper brand of the same thing etc... I Walmart it was this black man who I noticed was popping up in every aisle I was in which was very noticeable because I shop very sporadically - like Ill go to one aisle and get something , then suddenly remember something I need back the other way, or go back down an aisle I was already in to see if I passed something I was looking for - so him being in everyplace I was didn't feel like a coincidence. Also because when he would appear in my aisle, he would start "browsing" whatever was close to him and pick stuff up and look at it but when I moved on and saw him again in another part of the store, he never had anything in his basket lol. After a while I realized this dude was probably following me and that pissed me off because I dont steal and if I did Id be a bad thief because I wasn't even carrying a purse or bag or anything so where tf was I gonna hide anything lol. Then when I got in the self-checkout line this ninja appeared across from me AGAIN, acting like he was looking at the candy they display at the check-out line. Now I knew damn well this 50 year old man wasn't interest in buying no damn bottle pops, so that's when I realized he probably was trying to watch and make sure I paid for all my items because I guess a lot of ppl do use the self-checkout to steal but I got extra mad about that anyway because A.) I dont even like self-checkout - I prefer cashiers but this store only had self check out so I didn't have any choice B) I was the only black person in the store besides this man and it pissed e off that even HE decided that the :black woman"was the one to watch when hear I was with a debit card full of money and probably a bunch of the Mexican and white shoppers were actually stealing while his dumb ass was rolling me around. So I got out of the line and parked my cart in an aisle and left it there and I walked past him on the way out and said "YOU put it back asshole" under my breath. I hope he really WAS loss prevention and not just some random shopper who just happened to be everywhere I was because he would have been confused af lol. The second time was the I ran to a family dollar that I always go to to look for hair gel, and I was staring there trying to decide between two different ones - I was standing there a longtime, I admit, but I noticed this Mexican lady "shopping" near me me and my 6th sense notice that she had been standing there a long time , not really looking at anything specific, and her body turned just slightly enough to be able to see me over her shoulder. I shook it off and elected the gel I wanted and started for the register, then changed my mind and went back lol. But when I went to the register I noticed the lady stopped "browsing" where she was and moved to another aisle but when I went back to where the gel was and picked up the other gel to compare the two again, she appeared again in the same spot , sneaking peaks at me over her shoulder. That shit make me so mad. And they aren't even GOOD at it - like they are so obvious. I was pissed because I shop at that Family Dollar all the time and I have a good relationship with the regular cashiers there who are used to me coming in sometimes withy little daughter too who likes to buy their crappy toys, but I didn't recognize this Mexican lady so she was a new employee I guess and just assumed I was gonna steal something because I was a black woman. As mad as I was, I didn't make a scene about it because I liked the other cashiers and I wasn't going to cuss any of them out over this new chick so when I finally made my gel choice, I walked past her and said "come on" as I went to the register lol. She didn't follow me to the register but she DID move on from that spot where she was fake-shopping in the whole time lol. I'm not even mad at these people for doing that shit. Im a little sad and irritated by it because Im not a thief and I dont deserve that treatment, but Im more mad at all these black women (and men) who are going around the country running into stores and stealing shit. They're the ones who are giving us that bad reputation and showing store owners that that what black women do so I dont blame them for going on high alert when a black woman enters the store.
Facts!!!!!! 😂 Like, WTF is an old fat man who looks like he just came from off the farm chasing chickens doing passing by then standing by the Pantene gold moisture collection? I be daf, but then I get really annoyed and pissed, bc the fact of the matter is they do it to the wrong people and knowingly aren’t discreet about it….. when you see them doing it to your 12yr old daughter it hits different….. like yeah do you job and have procedures, but WTF is the policy bc I know for a fact I, nor my family have ever been accused of stealing form any where, and the crap starts from the 1st or 2nd left or right into the store, I’m going to video whenever I decide to physically go into Walmart which is rare. Their cameras zoom in so far they can literally read what’s on your phone, if you know you know, so why are they insisting on harassing certain people, even children? When you’re not a thief and have done nothing to be followed, I consider it harassment(.)
A secret shopper is someone who is paid to go into the store and buy products or use services, those people are just plain clothes loss prevention staff. Plus you are literally walking around recording, of course they are gonna eyeball you. Idiots i swear 😂
When I was younger, I thought I had a cougar following me at Payless drugstore. My fantasies were running wild, but it turned out, She was just security keeping an eye on me.😂😂😂😂
I hate to tell you this, but they don’t have to follow you around. They could be five hours away from you and watching you the entire time on the app on their phones. Their cameras to cover the entire building. You turn on your phone and you just stay in there and watch the person that stealing from anywhere in the store. Prevention isn’t going to be following you around anymore. Technology has advanced to the point they don’t have to.
If that is his wife/girlfriends she should be the one riding around the scooter cart Not him. That's what happens when you have a deadbeat boyfriend / husband. She's pregnant and you riding around.
Secret shoppers have nothing to do with the customers. Maybe if you would get up and walk instead of riding around there might be a senior citizen that needs one. Or a disabled person that can't walk. I guess if you don't have a driver's license I guess that's the next best thing.
