I have an overbite so I'm thinking of getting braces but I have a high canine on my right upper teeth. So is it necessary to remove it or are extractions necessary for getting braces??

my ortho told me to remove 4 teeth, but after braces if by any chance if I am not able to wear a retainer, will my teeth go back to their place and will extraction places be empty? (sorry English is my second language )
your other teeth would have filled in the empty extraction places don’t worry but if you don’t wear your retainers, u may end up with tiny gaps and crocked teeth.
I will have to extract 2 teeth from upper teeth as i have overjet will it cause sunken face or poor face profile i have been reading this all over the internet that it ruins face shape now thta i have good face shape now but still....

hii yes i have noticed facial change during and after braces. Initially, I had sunken cheeks for the first few months as I primarily ate soft foods, which led to a decrease in my cheek muscles. However, as I gradually transitioned back to my usual diet, incorporating foods that required chewing like meat, my face returned to its previous appearance. I believe my teeth shifted forward by about 4mm during this process.

@@yehzhenning thank you for replying, I went for a check up on fixing my croocked teeth & they (orthodontis) required that 4 tooth be removed (2 upper jaw & 2 lower jaw). I just ask because I thought they wanted to do some unnessesary tooth extraction.
damnn you got 4 extractions were you born with extra teeth or did you had to take out 4 from your 32 ?(i also took 4 out, but im kinda pissed i don't like when i have to extract teeth)
