@@kenlau7954 think it depends on your size. Still seen some stores will smaller sizes at retail. But the bigger sizes I think may increase as times go on and then become harder to find. But they are also releasing a lot of Kobe’s, so that may keep the fans happy and the prices down.

@@masonjagat I don’t have the OG to compare. But I looked up photos and stuff myself when I was debating between them as the WIP version. This one come lined too, slightly different pattern. But still pretty well built, could easily wear it with just a T-shirt in like spring and fall weather.
Triple black is the worst colour way out of all of them in my opinion, because the silhouette looks better when it has contrast between the panels. This is why I like the charcoal version better because it’s a lighter black/grey. Surprised the charcoal are so slept on.
@@Laurenelizo Initially I thought it was the better of the pairs. But then when more released and you saw how the silhouette looked with the contrasting panels I’d agree. I got the all white pair too and they look pretty nice.
Only the shoes that I believe will hold their value. This shoe for example is a shoe that I wear often. Not as a beater, but not a shoe that in the future is going to be more valuable, so that box I wouldn't keep.
For the price you can't go wrong. Its lined and the outer material is pretty tough. I know the WIP Detroit jackets come in like spring and fall versions (line or unlined), feel this could fall maybe in between. I love it, and the colorway is like the perfect Carhartt brown.
@@ALWAYSFRESH4LIFE that would have been a lot cooler for sure. I know Nike are very particular with what they do with their swoosh. Like the backwards swoosh on some lebrons and then the Travis’s was a big thing. If there was some superstar breakdancer that would make these shoes a lot more hyped, then maybe.
I managed to get the Sk8-Mid I have too many old skool and most rub the back of my ankles. However, I do like the old skool. They're different with character.
Scooped the lows up in a size 9 on Bape’s site, extra $20 for shipping. Later I saw it on the Vans otw site free shipping smh. Guess it’s better than not being able to get a pair.
@@rage6338 i had a similar issue with last years release. Waited for them to come on the vans site after seeing them sit on the bape site as they offered free shipping. They sold out, but by then they had sold out on the bape site too. smh. Glad you got a pair though.
@@Ruben-qy9tb I would say tts. I’m a US10 in Nike and Adidas and went with a 10, same as the other vans I have and they fit good. I don’t have a laceless version, but would think a 0.5 up for a laced pair would be good.
Awesome. Seeing them both in the store made the choice harder. When i first saw photos, I loved the low tops. But then seeing the Sk8 in person, they looked a lot better then in the photos.
@@Theophiloz I’m usually a US 10. I went with a 10.5 and they fit good. I probs could have done with my regular size too, but they just felt a little narrow around the toe box and the 0.5 up felt better. Think it depends a little on your foot. If wider then defo go up 0.5 size.
@@Denosauropteryx Cheers. I’m about 180 cm and just shy of 70kg and I got a small. Fits great. Depending on how you want it to to fit, but sizes could work. Medium would probs be better if you are looking for t-shirts underneath. If you want hoodies and sweaters; then a large may be better. They had a really easy return policy, so buying one of each is also an option.
@@playingmusiconmars mine are a men’s US10.5. So there should be men’s sizing too. I believe on the Nike site, one colorway was Women’s. But this pair is labeled as a men’s pair.
@@mohammedadam6123 a solid 4. Love the colorway, comfort is good and can be worn pretty easily. Just think the price point is a little much for the shoe.
@@SpeckyNation agreed. Calling them golf shoes is definitely a stretch. They could have just as easily put the regular j1 sole on and probs sold better. You couldn’t possibly play in them.
@@kicksofmiami We were rocking em. I played in bands when the shoe was hot... the dudes in Fallout boy were even wearing em. We just moved on from those and creative rec. It was a moment though
@@kevincollins8620 these are great. I love the sambas, but sometimes the thin silhouette can be hard to style. This thicker version makes it a lot easier to wear all around while still having that samba look. Comfort it’s pretty solid too as it’s a little thicker all around.
@@kicksofmiami I own handballer and now Samba is accepted into fashion I'd want a different take on em. I also like them predator freestyle shoes. Like I love the samba but now that everyone is on my trail with Handballer... I'm scooping predator freestyle to fit in that niche. I dunno why my fellow soccer sneakerheads haven't been the first to climb that summit... it's right there. Ain't even a Green diamond but a blue circle. Easy pickens
@@kevincollins8620 imma be interested to see if adidas brings back the predator absolute ACUB, with the megaride style cushioning in the back. But they have made some pretty cool causal style sneakers based off the predators which is pretty cool.
@@kevincollins8620 yep. The Verdy ones are meant to drop in the summer. So either now or after the Olympics. Don’t think they’ll do it during the Olympics as they have their own SB pack releasing. We shall see.
@@kicksofmiami I hope all of the Verdy stuff is legit hated. I hope it bombs like the recent drop of Korn shoes with like No resell. Or does like the two legacy air maxes this year the 86 and 180 and get bought but die on arrival at secondary. One can dream but we know they will move like a decent Travis Scott release.
Not that anyone cares. The Nike Air Terra Humara was a dork shoe. My little brother wore the orange and navy color in 2001 my father got them because the sneaker was in clearance everywhere. I was in Osiris D3...I wasn't much better. Wild both of these shoes are appreciated today. Difference is D3 took time for people to become cultured. ASAP Rocky is innovative the fashion killa was on em first. This shoe. Undefeated on there and color way isn't bad... but it's out there and the newer sneaker people are into em.
@@kevincollins8620 always care what people are commenting here. Interesting story, and would agree with you. Don’t think this model would sell, even in this color if it wasn’t for the collab, and also supreme doing their Darwin model with Nike.
@@kicksofmiami people are cycling fads too much and not doing what will last. Plus if everyone is doing it will we all really want it? Like I ain't seen a fidget spinner in ages. When something explodes it dies quick too. I remember how fast we stopped caring about our Talkboy recorder we had to have. Lmao
