Years ago we met Anthony Bygraves at a dinner. He recounted how he called the BBC to see if he could get his dad Max on Tv again. The person said something like send us his CV and we will take a look. Sadly, when you fall out of favour it doesn’t matter who you are. At least Jet looks well in this and he’s avoiding the drink.
Interesting I have them doing this as instrumental in 1974. This I’m thinking 75 seeing as it was a contender for Eurovision that year. Usually the song comes before the instrumental cover? Maybe someone can enlighten me .
Hank lives in Australia. Surprised he became a Jehovah Witness though, he loves his son, yet if he had needed a life saving transfusion as a minor, he couldn't allow it as it's against his churches tenets.
Yeah I don’t remember a black one but as you say I’m sure he can take his pick which one he fancy’s playing. Makes no difference he’s just brilliant whatever he plays.
I really enjoyed this video. I have always loved The Shadows, and Cliff. I have a funny but true story; Brian Bennett’s mother was the receptionist at my dentist’s office in Dalston. And every time I would come for an appointment, she would say, “Oh, Ursula if only you had a phone I would have invited you over to my house last night, because Cliff and all of The Shadows came over for dinner. And then she would wait to see my super sad reaction. She really was the sweetest woman.
Thank you for this magic documentary. The Shadows music has been an important part of my life, i started listening to them in 1960 as a 7 tear old and I always have a place in my heart. My favourite by them being, "Theme for Young Lovers" God Bless Always.
