Chun has to be the most overhyped character in SF6. Supposedly top tier, yet you can count the number of pros playing her with one hand and fingers to spare. The few times a Chun like Moke or Valmaster makes it to top 16 or 8, they always get destroyed by meta characters. Imo Chun is 9th-10th best character in the game. Good, but nowhere near the threat people make her out to be.
I think Ryu vs Rashid is almost even. The only thing Ryu struggles with against Rashid is his level 2. But then again almost everybody in the cast struggles against it so I don't even know if that's saying much. I'm diamond 2 and the only reason I lose to Rashid is because I don't know the matchup. Other than that I actually don't struggle against an average low diamond Rashid player. The Rashida I do lose too are probably just master player's alt characters For reference, many people I've talked to about Ryu's worst matchup are Cammy, guile and Ed. Guile and Ed just have longer reaching normals than Ryu and Cammy is just Cammy i guess. She can go thru fireballs, has a full screen nuke and can hooligan to bait out the DP. Rashid doesn't really have anybody these advantages over ryu
Ryu slightly wins against Cammy... Try using more of Ryu's neutral atd footsies tools and Cammy will struggle... Ryu out neutrals Cammy, and Cammy struggles against characters who out netural her. L hadouken outside her HK range, or any of the well spaced donkey kicks. St MK, St. HP, cr. MK, sweep, solar plexus, forward HK. Cammy cannot spin knuckle and struggles to hit Ryu if you actually use Ryu's tools properly.
Not really seeing the Chun reasoning. Yeah, she's got better normals, but Rashid has better pressure and mixups... Hazanshu is a nice tool, but the fact that Whirlwind Shots arc upwards + the fact that you can charge them and switch up the arcs makes them extremely difficult for Hazanshu to clear, a lot more so than a regular fireball. Rashid is also pretty difficult for Chun to anti-air, thanks to Arabian Skyhigh. OD Hazanshu into SA2 to counter Ysaar is great and all, but it's not like it's terribly difficult for Rashid to find safe setups... oftentimes simply backdashing a few times will put you in a position where Chun can't do anything to contest it. Rashid's strike/throw game is insane, Chun's is okay for this game at best (no throw loop, can't threaten shimmies effectively). This is a MU I would describe as even at worst for Rashid, though I'll admit this is coming from a pretty low level perspective (~1670 MR)
Chun just has the necessary neutral to counter rashid's, she has all the utility and you won't be using heavy fireball all the time, sometimes even if used hasonshu will still go through it, her walk speed, way large buttons, and jumpins make this mu in favor of her but it has been this way
@@Hoodini1417 Well, I just mean in comparison to Big Bird lol. If Big Bird would discard my point of view on the basis that we're not in the same league of skill, I would say "Fair enough"
Stlp bmp/crmk pretty much invalidates so many options rashid has in neutral. All of rashids get in options in neutral becomes extrmely risky against chun. Hazanshu unless you’re reacting very slow to the up fireball will go through all the charged and non charged options. The floaty jump also makes antiairing hard at the range chun is playing neutral since heavy mixer might get stuffed and exmixer will whiff on those angles. If you’re having trouble with rashid jumps you need to learn how to use air throw and your air to air options because sky high actually has a terrible air to air hit box
idk I think most players are being honest but people get sensitive because they want to blame busted characters instead of themselves especially with Ken which for some reason you're not allowed to say is outside top 5
@@YunisRajab have you ever thought that people are saying Ken is too op since the beginning of the season 1 and complaining about it because, IDK maybe I am being too crazy but it is over powered?
@@fallenknight2580so let me ask you something . If ken was so overpowered, don't you think the top pros would be playing him ? Just a thought idk .. the people who are literally the best in the world and who do this for money , you think they wouldn't know that Ken is OP but the scrubs in platinum and diamond do hmmm ... Idk man , let's just think about this
@@IytrrvItruThe irony and absurdity of stating that there are no Ken pro players on the FGC Birds channel . BTW you damn well know that ken is at the top 3 usage in every rank from rookie to master. Ken was also was the highest used character at top 64 in evo.(also in the top 8 and 32)
For me my world wide top 5 for Season 2 is 1. Punk(1st EVO, CEO) 2. XiaoHai(1st EWC, top 8 at EVO, 2nd at UFA) 3. Mena(1st EVO Japan, 1st RBK NY, 1st Cream City) 4. Big Bird(1st Dreamhack Summer, 2nd at EVO) 5. Gachikun(1st Dreamhack Dallas, top 24 at EVO) Japan specifically I got Momochi(This mf got the best win rate in SFLJ) Gachi Hikaru Tachikawa but something tells me Leshar might be the legit strongest guy in Japan rn
Mena’s EVO japan W i think is the 3rd or 2nd most reputable/highly regarded of the year imo. Idk, punk’s EVO win just hits different while using Cammy just simple straight forward mechanic, honest character, yet Punk was outplaying everybody he faced. I think it goes like this for events importance/significance: 1. EVO 2. EWC/Capcom Cup 3. Evo Japan
Big Bird is right, Ken is not better than either Akuma and Ryu, all three classic shotos are well balanced. Ken has no DR overhead, and can only cr. Jab twice. His run stance and optimal corner play such as Jinrai loops require more execution than the other two. His cr. Forward is 1 frames faster, but less distance in hitbox vs. Akuma. And Ken sucks at zoning, I get clipped even with OD FB. The S2 change makes meaty st. Fierce much more difficult to time, there’s no frame kill in the corner. You need a very methodical corner game with Ken in order to win. He’s a popular character, and is always highly picked in every iteration. And therefore most ppl have abundant MU knowledge, huge downside to Ken.
pro players opinions aren’t law i go from wot i see not wots said. an from i’ve seen tokido still plays ken an he doesn’t play characters that aren’t strong or nerfed.
Esta gente esta mal 🤣🤣🤣 shaohai solo gano un torneo y antes de eso era un muerto igusl que leshar . Menard es y sera el numero 1 mientras la ignorancia los arrope 🤏
Before he won ewc he was consistent. Look, he got evo 9th place at sf6, and then he won ewc, then got 2nd place. UFA, he is definitely one of the strongest players right now.
@@albertovloger7332mena is one of the strongest because he literally won a big tournament to qualify and he did it with a 4 month zangief he literally shitted on everyone on the winners side only lost to the dual kevin reset but then did a 3-0 back to winnthe tournament
Punk won CEO and EVO, he's the only guy here to have a major and a super major, how tf is XiaoHai no.1 coming off a smaller tourney in UFA and a Invitational in EWC? Punk is no.1 here and its not close.
He is exactly where he is because he didn’t win any big one, he is certainly not in top ten, top 20 maybe, and losing to daigo and problem x in France didn’t help.
@@Indiana-r9bnah he's top ten just wait for him to win one big tournament and he'll be in a flow state. at the moment in raw talent he's probably top 5, just way too stressed in tournament setting
