I an going to do the same BUT add a way to have a slow tank out for site where can drop to ground like out back to water plants ect. BUT... the ground is sandy and slow to actually soak it up. That way, no puddle.
Just watched the video, albeit 6 months late, what a great weekend with you guys and the rest of the Eternity Family. Looking forward to the next one in November. See you at the Bunbury Show!! You guys are legends 😎😎😎
@@michaeldavies3487 the mozzies can be friendly, they spray around the park regularly and we use a Thermacell which works well. Flies are like anywhere rural in WA.
Hi mate, Do you know what size tunnel boot door that is? I need to cut a bigger hole for the kitchen to fit and am unsure what to order as I don't have the kitchen here yet. Thanks in advance
@@TrademarkPlumbingQLDPTYLTD the total external measurements of the hatch are 710x410, the door size is 670x370 and the internal hatch size is 630x330 - hope this helps?
Hi Guys, just came across this post and will try this park one weekend instead of Binningup One query is i also tow a van (3.5T) with a Y62 so did you do GVM/GCM upgrade (not sure what the weight of your van is)
Hi Mark and Mandy nice video. We have stayed there it's quite nice. We were in busso a few weeks back and currently have a new van on order due late August. Question for Mark, do you tow in manual or auto or combine both when need to? Thanks 👍
I have our grey water running through our Gaye waste tank with a shutoff valve when required without any problems. My question is why you needed the diversion valve in the first place.
We found that we’d get a smell from the grey water tank as there would always be some residual in it - we would have to flush it, the diversion prevents it. We have found that we very rarely need to collect our grey water.
We cut the cable from the dish to the router and got 2 connectors added. We put the junction in the front well and permanently mounted the router under the front of our bed where you can’t see it. To connect the dish we put the cable up through the drain hole in the front well.
Spent a lot of time looking at the Van Connect and integration unit - looks good. But $608 and it’s fixed in the van, we thought we’d try the easy option first - which works. At some point we may go that route.
Tip: You have already paid for your month/billing period of Starlink. You can pause your plan today and still use it up to your next billing date. Saves you from forgetting to pause it and copping another month's charge.
@@rollin_in_the_red_dirt thanks , my inverter is in the van front boot - was planning to put router in there as well - out of weather etc - would this work ? Do you connect to Netflix etc ?
Hi Mark and Mandy the starlink is definitely the way ahead from what I understand, the only advice I could give is to make sure the inverter is pure sine wave and not modified as modified sine wave can damage devices 👍
Hi Mark and mandy, yes it was very sweet bumping into you guys again on our travels, your two part videos are well excellent and we really enjoyed the drone footage so keep up the good work. Now may be time for some discount codes and merch 🤔 Haha just kidding 🤣 keep well 👍
Hi guys it looks like the reunion was a great success, we haven't stayed at that camp as yet but looks very spacious. We picked up a new y62 in December and are now ready for towing on our next trip which funny enough kicks off in demark, bremer bay and esperance. Safe travels 👍
I would put a 'T' cable on the side, so you can operate the valve without crawling underneath. It doesn't get any easier as you get older. Crawling around on the ground is exhausting and difficult to get up from, past about 55yo.
We have 2 external gas bayonets, one for the kitchen one for the weber. When (one day) we build a new van will get it permanently plumbed, gas and water. Mark
Coincidentally, I am currently trying to decide between the Giant Talon E+ and Liv Rove E+. Guess I need to take each one for a test drive and decide for myself. Hope you're still enjoying your bikes a year later
Mark tried loads of e-bikes in the same sort of price range/spec level and by far preferred the Giant. He liked the power delivery, the ride position and we had an awesome experience in the Giant store!
Really enjoying your videos! Thx a lot. Heading down to Potter's Gorge this weekend. (Btw... & if you don't mind sharing, whereabouts in the UK do you guys originate from?) From the Midlands myself, but been in WA 23 years now...
Mandy is from the West Midlands and Mark is originally from Gloucester. We were living in Oswestry, Shropshire before emigrating in 2007. Gladys you enjoy our videos, we always have fun making them.
Hi guys nice video, thanks for the shout out it was was nice to meet you. Know what you mean about galena Bridge although it's great for a late stopover, we once got there at 1.30pm which was to early to stick around so we carried on and ended up back home 🤣 might see you at the show Friday if you are there.
Hi guys great job with video, bit of a shame about the wind and sand but all part of the fun. It was nice chatting with you in coral Bay and we just arrived home on Sunday. I noticed in your video that you are running with airbags in rear suspension and wondered if you have also changed coil springs for heavier duty coils as I am possibly looking at upgrading to a patrol thanks mark.
We never used it as an oven, only the burners, with the Dometic, you get three burners and more prep area. Plus a drawer for storage. We have the Weber in our tool box so we use that for baking or grilling.
Great install and looks good. We have the smaller unit. Where did you get the hook from that's on the end of the slide out? Also did yours come with the drain hose for the sink? cheers happy travels 🙂
The hook is a fusion lock from Bunnings - we have them all in the van as well. Ours did come with the drain hose. We have just ordered some wind deflectors from Kaon gear as well.
Great idea but wondering why you don't want water to go through your tank? We just leave our drain open with or without a waste hose connected as it's just flushing through anyway and we don't have any issues with sludge or smells. In fact we have only flushed the tank once in 5 years.
The drain isn’t completely on the bottom of the tank so always end up with some residual which can become smelly - we aren’t full time vanners, so the van does sit for a couple of weeks at a time.
It’s only 7Kgs heavier than the Swift slide out we removed - so no not noticeably. We had the van weighed the week before we installed it and still had plenty of capacity on the ball.
This is a great idea for a factory fitted grey water tank. (I have to declare myself as being a retired RV repairer.) However, I have had grave concerns with retro fits of grey water tanks ie: vans that were built without a grey water tank. The shifting of water weight towards the rear (fresh water having been used now resides further back) completely alters the ball weight dynamic until that grey water is disposed off. With some grey water tanks now with a 110 litre capacity this also equates up to 110kg sitting further towards the rear of the van. Particularly in single axle vans this will present a massive problem of what's called fish tailing. It's the kind of thing you see on the 6pm news via dash cam footage. Given it was only a decade ago that govts (both federal & states) were encouraging us to run washing machine water out to the garden at home I find it strange that caravans now need grey water tanks. So many camp sites that are not near natural watercourses are still encouraging the dropping of grey water on trees etc. I fully understand the retention if you are near a river or lake etc but to see the mandatory use of grey water retention out in parched desert country is ludicrous... and potentially dangerous to the RV owner.
