I recently had the Bostrom procedure performed in order to repair a complete tear of the ATFL, bone spurs and another partial ligament tear. My surgery was last Monday, everything went well following the procedure until day 6. The Sunday following the procedure I was moving through the house and my crutch caught something, I lost my balance and momentarily placed ALL my weight on the toes of the operated foot while falling backwards. I don't believe I twisted or pivoted, there was not cracking, popping or snapping, but I did immediately feel pain (mostly burning) over the top of my foot. The night I tripped and the following day my pain had significantly increased. Today it has mostly subsided however, it still hurts more than it did all the way up until I tripped. My question is, what can happen if someone puts their entire body weight on the toes of their operated foot days after surgery? Realistically, what is likely to happen?

I had this done. Not too bad. Its been a month now and it did help get rid of headaches that I was getting. Still recovering and I figure that in about 2 months things should get back to normal.
Hello, congratulations on your successful surgery. May I ask how you are feeling now? My daughter will have a secondary cranioplasty with this. We appreciate your sharing, thank you.
I wouldn't think so, my mom has had several cranioplasties and while she was under anesthesia she was up and in good health within hours after the anesthesia wore off. Obviously there are internet variables though so I can't speak for every surgery.
I have Scoliosos with a 43 degree curve eighr before my growth spirt too but the Surgery Options in my country werent very good so we tryed reduceing my curve by doing intense excersices and it has reduced my curve by 3 degrees which is not much but gave me hope. In the end we will soon go to America to get Surgery in a few months. This video has made me a lot less nervous thank you for sharing 😊
I think they just train chimps to do this in U.K. ! That’s what I got! Not a happy customer! Somtimes wish they’d let me die ! Now I’m deformed for life!

This was my doctor, in 2018-19. He used TITANIUM MESH, which is worse to use. It now is starting to come out through my skin! I wish he would have used THIS!😬
This is always my worry. You go to fix one thing, but then you inherit another from said operation. Now you have to chose between accepting your fate and living an inadequate life, or take a chance to potentially better yourself with risk of ruining yourself even more.
