I’m honestly curious I bought the 4311 trigger and hearing you say everything in the first minute completely goes against what you did you made a Glock trigger like a 2011 and now your telling me I spent 300 dollars for what I was told is the best trigger and it’s not safe from your exact words how am I supposed to feel confident in my purchase when I look on the trigger it says it’s safe now here you are telling me it can’t be done safely yet you did it advertised it as safe I honestly don’t know if I should regret buying from you now or not
Thank, this is exactly what I needed to hear. The main difference between the Competition vs. Combat triggers. Gonna send this to my Glock buddies!!! We’re gonna get a few of your setup’s.
I got one for combat and don’t trust it. Put an inspection plate on and press the trigger up to the safety tab then push down on cruciform. The striker drops. In stock it doesn’t do this. His it’s move the cruciform too close to the drop shelf
I got a full combat conversion. There’s really not enough pre-travel for me. I can’t take the shoe off to make any adjustments and there’s no set screw on the shoe itself. It looks like it’s roll pinned in with blind holes. I guess it’s on there forever. Any suggestions?
Agreed. Idk why anyone does hand stippling anymore it always looks like ass. "oH BUt i DiD It by HaNd 🤪" and the slide is just... I see why libtard prosecutors prosecute harder for that shit 😂
In a 20 year FLEO career the team only mods I could do was night sights. Since retiring I use red dots, weapon lights and better triggers. I plan on working up a classic 17L and using a Johny Glock trigger. and mod the slide, grip, etc.
I have a question about the hair trigger or double tapping trigger, as long as its not an auto sear then its not a machine gun right? Like lets assume the trigger os so light that if when the trigger resets and your finger is hits the trigger right after reset and then it pulls the trigger again as a result, thats not full auto because you are still pulling the trigger again and again and again untill the mag runs out its just you cyclic rate increases almost similar to full auto fire, kinda like a FRT for glocks, then the moment you release the trigger you still have the safety plunger and the trigger safttey to make it somewhat safe. Im really wondering if there is a legal limit to how light a trigger can be.
Lmao!! Why do white people (I'm white) start talking just a smidge different (at the very least) when they're around people with an.. accent? Seriously? Why does no one ever say anything about this? And why don't black people see this for what it is?
Dose my gen 5 glock STOCK trigger have an adjustment??? Trying to sharp shoot at 50 yards with my holosun 507c is next to impossible because of its crappy long distance trigger
Modified! Multiple paragraph guy here: I modify every one of my pistols and get them running 100% reliably, too. Never had a failure of any kind once im done. I get people thinking "well it comes perfectly reliable" but you can change things and still be reliable. They mass produce glocks, and there are comprimises to keep them relatively affordable. To think those compromises for the sake of cost means everything is the best it can be, and anything changed equals less reliable is fundamentally misunderstanding the econimics of the situation in my book. Glocks arent priced to be the highest performance possible, just reliable and reasonably priced. There's a triangle of qualities: cheap, reliable, and high performance. You can only pick 2. You cqn trade cheap for high performance and maintain reliability. Now, if it were something at a much higher price point, where its not meant to be economical but sold at a price and built to be top notch? Like, maybe an atlas or stacatto? Maybe theres something to say about leaving it be. Dont know, not my wheelhouse . High-quality modifications do not automatically mean its a decrease in reliability. Cheap mods? Maybe there is a decrease. You get what you pay for. That's a nice stippling job! Do it yourself?
OEM all day all that stuff might look nice but when you need it most more than likely something's going to fail you. The only other trigger I will even put in my glock is OverWatch precision and that's because it is OEM Glock it's just a polished Glock trigger bar and flat face trigger shoe with all internal safeties intact. Johnny Glock does too much and it's not OEM because of how much he changes, I like his stuff but don't trust it.
My Glock 26 trigger stop resetting it is completely dead, they told me to change connector so I did & still dead. Will the adjustable housing do the job ?
The key to having a long-lasting reliable firearm is proper cleaning after each use... go to the range and only fire off like 200 rounds?... great taking it easy on her... perfectly fine... now go home and break it down and CLEAN IT. Go right ahead and spray it down if you want... piece by piece... the brush with a soft bristle brush and wipe it all away. If you don't physically remove the carbon build-up, it will layer and become a problem like what's being shown here.... yes, over lubricating can be an issue, but if you clean that mf after each use, you won't have any issues aside from spray in your face for the first few shots. Inwas also taught never to use any chemicals to clean firearms... hot soapy water and a towel to dry it off... then clp or your preferred gun oil... i use clp because it's good for cleaning lubricating and protecting the firearm parts. It does what it advertises... nothing more... nothing less... if it looks wet when you're done, you have too much oil. It should look almost completely dry with the very slightest shimmer to it. You can see the oil, but it's not enough to drip or run and no puddles. I ALWAYS over lube, then take a paper towel over the parts to soak excess, but dont scrub all of the oil off. Just wipe the excess... gr8 video...
The sear and/or crucifix it what i been having issues with... i started with the stock fire control group and got light strikes every time so i got an after market fire control group thinking there might be a firing pin issue but i was wrong. It still didnt work. Second bet was upgrading from a 5lb firecontrol group spring to a 6lb spring... i got it to fire about 40 out of 70 rounds... thats progress but still having issues... now i find that its also having feed and chambering issues... now i got a 6.5 lb spring and am waiting on a dremel so i can polish the crucifix and feed ramp and chamber to a mirror finish and also plan to increase the weight on my recoil spring from 18 to 20lbs to be sure it goes back into battery because that was an issue i experienced intermittently during the last test. I started with a psa dagger frame slide and barrel and gutted everything and put in all glock performance parts... still got the dagger slide barrel and frame but its only a dagger on its face... 100% glock performance inside... someone said "budget pistol"... idk... ive put just under 1600 into it so far... its the most expensive pistol i own right now... and doesnt run like i expect it to so its a work in progress and might end up going up a few more bucks depending on the prices of the parts i need to swap in to get out of it what i expect from a 1500+ dollar 9mm pistol. I might have to scrap the garbage timney alpha glock competition trigger for something more reliable....
Hello Johnny I’m hoping you could answer a question for me I’m having an issue with my slide when I depress the safety plunger the firing pin doesn’t free fall how it should. I installed a brand new channel line bevel towards the breachface also where my spring cups separate they are not on the end coil of the spring should I try a new channel liner ?
Man I’ve watched all your videos probably 2 or three times. I know you pretty much covered everything you could but I’d still love to see hands on videos of maybe you working on customers guns. Anyways thanks for all the free knowledge you have given me I’ll forever me thankful it’s only because of you I’ll be able to diagnose almost any problem I ever run into with a Glock thank you Johnny!
