this is not sublime. this is not slightly stoopid. this is not bradley nowell. this is a relic from the days of napster and limewire of some terrible recording of some shitty group of unknowns that got mislabeled.
This is my band. I am on drums. We were called "The Kind". Someone posted this on the interwebs forever ago and labeled it Sublime and Slightly Stoopid. Maybe as a description? It is certainly not either of them performing. Look at Alex Cripe's comment below. He was the bass player. Listen how shitty it sounds. Especially me on drums. Not Bud or the early drummer for stoopid. We were in 8th or 9th grade. We had an album called "Garage Sessions" and recorded at the Fender studios a bit later. Sorry to burst your bubbles.
Dude sloppy or not, the song is badass. I'm in a reggae band too and I have dozens of recordings on my phone of us playing. Different shit like songs that we had just written and recorded so we wouldn't forget it. Or song we did know; cover or original. Not everybody has cash for studio time. That shit's expensive. And home recordings can sound good but it's still not like a professional recording. But still. Props. I love the sound, it sounds dub as fuck.
I don't know... vocals sound a little too forced maybe somebody trying to sound like Bradley from sublime... but some parts do sound like him a lot so maybe it is
I think you are talking about sound quality (4 track tape hiss) sounds similar. Only problem is.. Had a Dat was from 1988 and Slightly Stoopid wasn't linked up with Brad until about 1995.. light years ahead of Had a Dat era. This recording is a fake. It is a mislabeled mp3 from a shitty group of unknowns in the early days of file sharing services such as Napster and Limewire.
It's Miles for sure. But there's a few different people on guitar and bass if you listen closely so Brad could be there. Remember who introduced Slightly stoopid in the first place when they were in hs..... It was Bradley. I read that Miles and Kyle have a bunch of recorded tracks with Sublime that haven't been released. Do some research before you comment people.
There was a track called “with Bradley on bass “ it was miles singing the song “prophet “ and supposedly Bradley was playing bass. Hard version to find but it’s out there somewhere also lonely end by LBDAS is out there too not the one on the album but another rad version
well this is obviously not brad singing. it is very similar in style and sound, but listening to sublime pretty much non stop my whole life its clearly not brad
G-Man (The renowned Sublime expert who KNEW the members, he has a site and everything where you can buy rare sublime collectables) said that it's a "100% Stoopid jam, with Miles singing." so you be the judge.
Boeser51 G Man didn't know anyone from Sublime and tells lies to over price his products on eBay. Stickers he sells are not from the Sublime years. Don't trust anything from him.
This isn't slightly stoopid or Bradley, but shows how many people actually listen with their ears and not their eyes. Stoopid is on Top of the World the only ones that can hit the shit Brad lit!
I met Eric cause i was a stage hen and he told me a story about his manager, then I drank jager with Rome. It was a fucking awesome day and night that i'll never forget. I fucking love Sublime!!!!!!
