So much character, talent and achievement packed into a charming young woman virtuoso. Hope you include some melodic flamenco pieces into your classical performances. This interview shows a positive, vivacious person, you usually look so serious while performing.
Gohar is a great story teller, she explains important information by sharing her personal experiences in a way that really allows others to "get it" after hearing her once. Thanks for this interview.
Un sueno en la floresta is in my opinion one of the greatest original classical guitar compositions ever conceived and this Elohym blessed lady just played of of the best renditions Ive heard of it. Absolute talent in playing and a pleasure to watch. Where are all the Gohar Vardanyan esqe beautiful talented women in my area. I could listen to her play for days. Teach me everything you know I’d say

Wonderful interview! I love your playing and tutorials! Whenever I start playing a new piece I always look to see whether you have recorded or done a tutorial on it to guide me through. I see you are even playing some flamenco eg De Baja Guia, by Manolo Sanlucar which I have been trying to master for years. You inspire me!
I tried to play as authentic 19c guitar style/performance practice: Real gut strings (from Gamut strings), A=392 Hz, With strap (no footstool), No nail, Pinky finger resting on soundboard, and only use “pim” for Op35-22 (no “a” finger). Guitar: Charles Boullangier, c.1860
This entire performance was fantastic, but that Mozart was especially beautiful. It was refreshing to hear a commonly played piece reimagined in such an impressive way. I have loved everything I hear from Johan Smith!
KILLER! Thanks to the OCGC for posting the concert, this one will be on repeat for awhile. The Bach is next level and I was reminded of how cool that Sonata in D by Mateo Albeniz is, such a great interpretation! Easily one of my favorite new players!!
