I remember hearing about these guys in those days, but i was all about Texas Country at the time (Pat Green, Robert Earl Keene, Jack Ingram, Charlie Robison, etc), but I'm glad to have circled back around to these guys. Much love to our Okie kinfolk.
As always, thanks for uploading! I was at Cain's last month for my first concert and it was great. Love seeing all the stuff you upload! I knew about the DVD for this live album, so I might have to sit down and relisten to this live album with the video feed for it.
I remember listening to this a couple of years before they did the Toys For Tots benefit show at the Wormy Dog Saloon and they opened with Crazy Eddies Last Hurrah, and they blew the roof off that place!
Holy crap wasn't expecting another one of these Wormy Dog Bootlegs anytime soon, great timing though honestly! So tempting to go to that one show at Boone Pickens, honestly amazing lineup show. Note on the song, 42 Miles is one of my all time favorite CCR songs!
Watching Cody's trusty grey PRS get more and more worn with age is weirdly comforting. I've never seen a guitarist more dedicated to a single instrument and I assume it holds more history and sentimental value to him than I can even conceive. Never was intended to be flashy, just a high quality workhorse that does its job consistently and ages so nicely
I've listened to this in the background NUMEROUS times but have NEVER seen Cody, Willy, and Jimmy (RIP) dance-stepping back and forth during "Guacamole" before and it made me laugh so hard. Goddammit I love these guys.
Some of my favorite music Jason Boland and the stragglers.Been listening for years. Just an old misplaced west Texas boy. Retired busted up ol fart I play y’all all day Thanks for the music
Hey, back on the channel again! Yet another band I grew up with, expect this band means something else to me. My half brothers' uncle is actually the fiddle player, Kyle! If I'm not mistaken I probably met him when I was young. I have a weird association with this song, the Xbox 360 had a feature where you could rip CDs and play them locally and even during gameplay so I'd listen to Bossier City a lot when playing the Just Cause 2. The reason I had the song on my Xbox 360 was that one of my half brothers' gave us their external hard drive from their console and so we had the music from it. Sadly, I think on accident we deleted all the music off of their, a real shame honestly. I can only imagine what other music was on there. Finding this upload of yours, I'm pretty sure that I had this recording of it.
Oh man, thanks so much for uploading all of these recordings! I've listened to a bunch of the ones from this set of recordings and these are of amazing quality. I grew up listening to Jason Boland and Cross Canadian Ragweed with my mom and my dad, both loved the live tunes. I knew almost all of the songs from the playlist, original or cover. If I'm not mistaken your banner looks like Enid area, which I grew up in. Keep up the amazing work!
