thankful youtube randomly recommended your channel this morning haha. @2:37 is the kinda hard hitting review content youtube needs more of. also, love the channel name, and the brad pitt/keith urban mix is too true.
Thanks for making these FD videos. I have a FD 17mm on the way, looking forward to shooting video with it. I have an old F-1 and a FT that came with a lenses I was buying but I have yet to try them out. I've never shot film before outside those old kodak disposables that were around years ago.
i mean yeah... but my grandpa also won a grammy for one of his documentaries.... didn't shoot on Canon though.... there's a reason no noteworthy photographer ever shoots wide open though... it's tacky and looks bad and makes composition useless... people need to stop listening to bad photography influencers.... there's too many of them
The internal light meter is not accurate because the voltage of modern lithium battery that fits is most often wrong at 1,5V. It used a lower voltage Mercury MD battery with 1,35V if you look at the manual, that directly effects the light meter. You can still get 1,35V mercury batteries online, but also the hearing aid Zinc-Air batteries have the same voltage 1,3V - 1,35V and can be used to replace the battery and have a working light meter. Also works for some other cameras that used Mercury 1,35V cells. Kind regards from a fellow Canon F1 user :*
@@andrew_nayes i am also looking, i chatted vintage lens lab on facebook because they do conversion of m42 lenses to PL mount i wanted to be sure if they can convert these set of carl zeiss lenses. but they havent reply. if you succeed please share details.
Out of all the XA models, which model would you recommend a beginner photographer to pick up? I like the easiness of the X2/4 but from what I have heard, that the X produces the best once you know and understand the camera.
yes the XA4 would be the easiest. but then you dont actually get to understand photography so i would get the XA for sure. plus i like the lens a little bit better.
Man I love how the background sound changes with the photos. I can tell you've put a stack of work into creating lovely videos! NC looks like such a cool place! Beautiful captures, I'm glad I stumbled across your channel! Much admiration!
Lovely video, Jason. Tennessee looks a lot like places here in Queensland. Lovely captures of the cows! The XA is a great little camera, thanks for taking me on a lovely country adventure! Much admiration from Australia!
Thanks for the video. Just ordered one a few days ago and it was helpful to hear you narrate live what settings you were using, thought process etc. Gives me a more tangible preview of what my experience might be 👍
@@Nashvillejasonwain haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. I’m only a casual photography with an interest in street photography. I’m interested to see how I feel shooting a small camera like this in the streets, and how others respond to me
@@Nashvillejasonwain I have! So far, I’ve really enjoyed the camera. All in all, I’ve only had 2 opportunities to go out to shoot since I got the camera, but am loving its pocketability and discreetness. have not taken enough shots to develop any film yet.
Really great video enjoyed the commentary :) I’m an avid XA enthusiast myself, not the sharpest most perfect lens but the most perfect shooting system for control and creative input
I loved this song when i was younger still do thought of it today and thought of you like why havent i heard him lately? Thought you would be viral the first time i saw this.
