Ah mate i brought this same kit. Started fitting it today and my god is it a nightmare. Theyve missed half the hardware asin rubber grommets and screws but the worst part is there is ZERO room behind the headlight for my wiring. Literally the back of the headlight touches the bracket which also dont line up properly. Driving me insane 😂😭 going to give it another go tomorrow, what a nightmare! Also the parking/side lights dont fit in the holes on the back of my headlight.
Hi, i have the same bike same colours scheme as your faired version except i have black forks. I hate my silver engine lol. In debating converting it to the naked version. How is it at like 70mph with no fairing? Im so undecided whether to convert haha

They all ready look very similar or are you thinking more specs the fz1 998cc 150hp engine to the fz8 779cc you be better of buying a fz1 it would be cheaper and less of a trouble.
Exactly the same happened to me 3 days ago... Question, did you have to open the engine in order to make sure there weren't remainings of the magnets inside it? Thx
@@photographyrides7913hi. My stator made contact with the magneto rotor, I replaced the magneto but not the stator. Should I replace the stator too? It is ground down, very little. Thank you.
Yeah I had two GoPro Max the one you see I'm using I used in hero mode because the other side of the lens is broken and the other camera was the main 360 camera that I lost😢
Thanks for the video, first I've seen that shows the damage caused when the magnets break free from the rotor. You're probably lucky none of the magnets didn't end up in the rest of the engine - were they all stuck to the stator? I've got a 08 FZ1s, 60k km, you've tipped me into checking and replacing the rotor if necessary ASAP, not comfortable having that potential hand grenade spinning around in there 😅
Yeah mate it's a good idea to replace it it's happened to me twice the 1st time on my 2006 FZ1 at 63k. The 2ed my 2008 at 23k so in my experiences it's not it could happen but when it will 👍
@@photographyrides7913 as luck would have it, the very next ride after my last comment the bike shat itself on the freeway, check engine light came on (error code 46), then headlights cut out and I pulled over. After having to transport it back home checked my generator rotor and it was a magnet soup like yours. Check and replace the rotor people, don't end up stranded like me!
Is it posisble to do the other way around, fix Fazer dual headlights on the naked model? I like the front fairing look from dv8r cooperdawg. But have a fz1n.
@@photographyrides7913 I'm assuming if I just buy the faired model headlight assembly it would need some bracket to fix it on the frame after removing the headlight on my naked model. I will have to get a custom bracket made to fix it. What do you think?
👍👌I loved driving this road when we lived in Redlynch. Now we have a similar road near us called The Mangamuka Gorge, except it has an up and a down. It's been closed for a while due to slips after bad weather.
I’m new to my fz1 and working on bike myself but I see most that do this Lars mods usually block that ais vacuum line and ais hole on air box . Is there a reason you don’t ?
