I agree with you rant the devs are lost of what they are doing, look at albedo's skill is just 1 of many skills & this new lumi will be shoved in the back of the list by better old exs or newer exs
I summoned for this team to prove a point, that I get absolutely shafted one month and great luck the next. Been happening for a bit now, I got two protectors and a Lumi at 60 pity. Last month, 220 pity, one Hinata only. I've been a whale and playing for a bit, this is the least motivated that I have been to play this game. I just open it once now a day and do my daily tasks
I am a f2p who just returned to this game so I dont expect to clear every mission. However, because i couldnt clear infernal 1 last month, i missed out on a 5* ticket bingo mission .This sucks since a 5* ticket means something to me. Thank you for listening to my rant talk.
This makes me curious were devs and team members pulled off this game to make the other slime game that came out and we're now dealing with that issue? This feels extremely similar to a hold over situation for this mobile game. In anycase its not good. You've complained. Im assuming the community complained about these elements being so bad, and these things need to be fixed, but heres the response about it. Now, I'm taking it from the player side. I guess screw us? The new games out we should be moved off the mobile game onto the other one is that their aim? On the flip side are the devs that need to be dealing with the higher-ups being enforced to deal with this, and the push in other areas caused them to create his kind of a product? Wouldn't it be fitting if there was a dev who made the rez skill release now if they were in dev hell? The meta is a skip and a sad one, the potential for lumis rez skill for the story secret battle could of been so helpful and impactful long term in the longevity of the game but the rest of the added units just can't justify using whale and f2p resources to spend on the banner. So Overlord was a bust, and this meta is shaping up to be about the same. The difference is that overlord had a good protector.
In my opinion, the Tensura movie was super childish and mediocre, and season 3 anime butchers and cuts out so many good original Tensura novel and manga moments so much it is similar to Joss Whedon butchering Zack Snyder's Justice League movie. I feel a greedy get rich quick scheme with this game and the animation production.

To be honest, I’m glad this meta is a skip, gives me the ability to get more crystals for a meta that matters. Although I do understand your criticisms, they could have done a lot more for this meta than they did. They should have added a few ex characters to this meta force/recruit banner. This BB feels like it’s very unforgiving to those who don’t have the meta units or other options. This defense meta doesn’t even come close to being as powerful as the vengeance meta due to how gimmicky the meta team works. The only way i will spend crystals on this meta is if the next two banners feature Benimaru’s fox girl or the elf queen from the season 3 opening, which I’m hoping get featured in next month’s meta instead. Otherwise I’m going to save my 10k crystals until either the next collab/anniversary/OP meta or characters
Your rant is legit, I don't even play manually anymore. And they have just reused EX Luminus outfit with her the Normal Luminus and her EX Ult is rubbish, 2 hands just come out and clap and Maribel has no connect Luminus in the anime to date so why are they together its not even lore accurate or interesting. This is why I just do auto-play to farm diamonds when I am taking a break from HSR or WuWa. I have not summoned since the Overlord collab, I have 21k Diamonds and I laugh at how unserious these devs are, it's almost like they are quite quitting and depending on whales and new players that might spend to try to catch up. The point you made about the forces having units that are completely irrelevant and useless for the meta that is required is something I’ve noticed for the past few months and makes me feel relief that I have not spent in this game and I have resisted the urge to spend.
Keep cookin', I was going to save last month but the new years Rimuru being available tempted me into it. This meta on the other hand is the first in a long time that I'm not going to spend a single crystal on. Honestly the fun part of challenging new inferno stages doesn't work if your entire box of old characters are all unusable. What are the rewards? 30 crystals and some skill fuse things? Yippee? Game needs a reality check on why people play it and summon in the first place. And this month ain't it.
If there's a positive to take from this meta, the story is actually very interesting, especially given where we are in the anime right now. Does a lot to give more characterization to Hinata and Lumi specifically. But yeah, Overlord was disappointing due to the units relation with their kits. This meta is kind dry. It's not like a fighting game where a defensive play style can be made engaging. This will always be a DPS-race and notice how well metas that have higher damage outputs do versus ones that don't...
I think your ranting is absolutely reasonable. I like that we are seeing more fire and earth units now (because they are lacking hard), but you would think that they might have gone a bit easier with the beatdown as a result. This meta could be good to build up those elements to be used in the future, but they went and made the two first units pretty restricted. At least Rigurd can be used in other teams (and he is free)! I thought that the Holy knight meta was kinda selling the meta with the beatdown and jubilee (with shields and all appealing to the gimmick), but this one is on a whole other level already. You can feel how the beatdown is made with the meta in mind, and specifically only this new one. The force that they gave to the already existing units are not helping out the team at all either, so you are stuck with having to rely on this new meta to be able to beat it. Sure, you can use some older metas and beat it, but it feels like the amount of options has decreased as well. Overall not good indications, so hopefully they can make better choices for the next meta!

Yep. Pretty garbage meta/force. I don´t get tossing in only old 3*, 4* and 5* in a brand new meta either and they REALLY could´ve brought more skill fusions... espcially when they´re putting only old 5* on that force. The team will probably function well with banner 2 and 3 when more stacking dmg gets added, but it´s not good that the team functioning relys on something like that. Banner 1 + FTP units + same force units should be the baseline to be able to run this team in a reasonably efficient way.
Shizue is really good. Diablo is not worth it. This meta is terrible. Its best to probably pull none of them but wouldn’t blame ya for trying for shizue. Definitely don’t go for diablo or maribel/lumi
I think that every arguement presented here is completely valid. They absolutely screwed up this meta and the fact that older FREE UNITS are harder to get then older premium units is wild. And to add on that is them not letting us do the beatdowns whenever which just makes it difficult to test units and hard to justify gimmick units cuz you can’t even use them again for their content until they maybe rerun it in 10 months. I feel like chambers is trying to kind of fix it but its like your being restricted on who you can use on a stage that is basically copy and pasted of a stage with no limitations.
Yes, the primary gameplay loop is still the same. Every team introduces some kind of gimmick, but the game is still the same. And no, I do not know how to fix your crashing issue.
I know no one wants to hear this but ive found lumi VERY helpful as a swap in on vengeance team (at least 1 front liner being on the correct forces) for 3 extra turns of vengeance passive damage when your team is about to get killed
No and save for next month (unlike most gacha games that go character by character, this game introduces "groups" (forces) of characters each month with the first banner always having the "leader" (protector) so if the protector and first unit of the new group is not where you want it then its a dead month in terms of the new group
Its would be nice if we could get similar videos for old build that are still strong like the perfect set up fot vengance and the stun team that are used alot
Hello, just came back to the game after about 1.5 years and I was wondering that out of the current banners to pull on, should I actually pull on them or save for something else? This comment was made on 6/28/24 for reference of the banners that are on right now.
This current team with Lumi and Maribel is pretty bad, and the banner itself has no other featured EX units. I would honestly wait and summon next month.

I’m happy Nordic characters are relevant for the beatdown this month. Although I only got youm, shuna, and velzard. With octogram Ramiris for healing and masked hero for extra turn I was able to beat the challenges to max out Rigur. Still was hoping for more of hot daddy Rigurd
