Hi, I’m Phil. A happy dad from Ontario who works construction by day and goes home and sings to himself at night.
I’ve played guitar for roughly 19 years but only started singing in front of people recently. February 2022 to be exact. It’s not easy getting gigs when you’re this new at it so I decided to post weekly on here to sing to an audience, however big or small, and have these videos someplace where they can always be found.
Thank you for doing this! Matthew's death is one that hit us all. He had a troubling life but at least he can finally rest, knowing he has left a legacy that will last generations.
Love your voice and playing, man. If you don't mind an observation: You're performance doesn't grab me and pull me into it because you are looking around the whole time. I'd play directly to the camera as if it was the character under your spell. I'm going to go and look at your other vids now.
Just found your channel, and I've got to say it's like finding a needle in a haystack to find another left-handed upside-down guitar player. I've been doing it since 1971, having fun messing with other guitar players minds. Always fun to say 'just follow along' and seeing the confusion when they notice. Cheers from Canada!
Thank you fellow Canadian! I love playing with different musicians and seeing their reactions. There’s a person or two at some of the open mics I play who make sure to point out to everyone attending that I play like this. When for me it’s just how I’ve always played.
