White Bird was written in Seattle during a particularly long rainy winter that was nothing but depressing for a band trying to make it. So glad they did make it, phenomenally talented that they were. So glad to have seen them live at the Seattle Pop Festival in July of 1969. Nice cover!
supercool rendition & the doot doodee is an especially nice touch - xlnt guitar work & that flute really knocks me out - many thanks & cheers from the Delta
This is the most awesome version of the song that I ever heard. I want to save this on my playlist. You express the true feeling of the song, thank you.❤
Home from 3 brutal back to back tours in combat in Vietnam this song took me away. I still love the lyrics, the melody, and the haunting sound that I needed so much after I returned. I’m 76 now and can’t listen to this song without tears in my eyes and my heart.
