Hi everyone, Will and Tracy here, or Ghost Ryder FPV, hoping you enjoy these videos. We encourage anyone curious about these models, or R/C in general to ask questions, we really leaned on RU-vid to help us find the right models for us. So far we have only a few clips, but we're sure there will be plenty more to come!
This camera runs on 1s to 3s, so I routed the wires to where the battery cable connects to the flight controller. This way, it also shows the voltage of the battery (see it in the OSD?). Thanks for popping by!
Drones are so good for FPV. You did some great flying here too. Fast and controlled. My mate follows a lot of other RC vehicles, cars, planes, boats and takes some amazing shots. HART rockets channel if you wanna see. www.youtube.com/@hartrockets
I'd buy you a stupidly large breakfast of unreasonable proportions if you were still around the corner, my friend! But there'll be a chance I'm sure!!!
Dumb? Stupid? Ridiculous?...? 🤔 I think not!!! What a cute little baby, just look at that paint job..... and those gorgeous lights, truly a thing of beauty indeed Sir! 👌 As for the 23 turn superstock RZ motor..... you nutter, 27,000 rpm coming out of that bad boy!! I like your style fella!! That motor ripped the tyres off my lunchbox, and turned my turbo Optima into a scary beast..... one can only imagine what it will do in this little creature! 😂 Great stuff fella! 👍 👍 👍
The Chooch factor is _real!_ Thanks for swinging by my dude, this little silly car is one of my favorites (not sure why, other than siiiiiick comical goodness) and it's getting the miles these days. I recently finished the 6x6 King Yellow school bus, and have a small fleet of brushless rocketships, but the Grasshopper was my first car as a -kid- lad, and I figured this would be a great homage. 23 turns seems just about right, while not neck-and-neck with the really fast stuff, how fast does anything with "comical" in the name have to go, really?! Happy new year fella!
@@GhostRyderFPV The Grasshopper is absolute classic fella, a true icon of my childhood! Cheap, plasticy, bouncy, simple..... But so affective, and soooo much fun! Just like the lunchbox, these cars offer ten times the value of their parts in fun factor and character! I own quite a few higher end kits (avante, egress, turbo Optima, RC10 etc etc)..... but, we always have so much more fun when we take out the hoppers and lunchies! And, credit where it's due, nothing as yet has been able to knock the Grasshopper off the top spot on our figure of eight! I haven't owned any of the comical series..... but think they are super cool, and am very tempted! As for the 6x6.....they look heaps of fun with a hot brushless set up, I've watched quite a few on RU-vid. I've sent your channel link to Taylor, my fellow Green Hawker.... he's well into his planes and drones, I think he will really enjoy a lot of your content. Will check out some of your back catalogue to bud. Oh yeah, happy new year to you too, from myself and all the idiots at Green Hawks RC! 😂 👍 👍 👍
These days, filtering in your flight controller is so good tuning isnt too necessary. Make sure your props are balanced, drop D by 1, or change your filtering. The last part is a bit complex, but there are lots of resources on YT - look for Betaflight filter, the LPF will likely need to be increased to a higher frequency cutoff.
I had a SkyHunter I did that with, basically coated the bottom of the fuse for landings. It held up for a bit, but cracked due to being brittle, and eventually yellowed. The laminate is flexible, and won't react with water the way CA will (seaplane). I still use a liquid coating in places, on this plane the area surrounding the camera is coated in UV resin, rather than lam, so I can change it out. Thanks for popping by!
I love this buggy! There are very few videos about it on RU-vid, what speed can it reach without wearing out the differentials? If I drive it at 20 mph can I break the transmission teeth? greetings❤
Howdy Zoridor! Thanks for swinging by, friend! This little car has been _Flawless,_ and hasn't broken anything. But I can tell when putting together that while the drivetrain is mostly plastic, it's very durable, but watch out for full-throttle landings - the wheels and tires are so big and heavy, that if they're turning fast when it lands that you can strip a spur gear.
Say that name again Will lol? I did watch this a while back and have seen the flights but felt I'd comment today. Nice mods you make. I see you have a lot of RC stuff and into sci-fi too. My kinda channel.
James Pumphrey from Donut Media, if that's what you mean? lol Pop Up Up-N-Down Headlights guy, he has a knack for reading off the names of item listings on Wish.com lol I dig your 400mm fleet, Laurie! The more and more I build, I've noticed a trend to smaller platforms - these two being perfect examples actually! The ZOHD Dart at 635mm is my idea of the perfect size plane for my specific needs, with current flight controllers, Rx's, VTx's, cameras, and Li-Ion batteries where they are. I'm no speed demon, or thermal chaser, but I like to pin the throttle once in a while, jam the sticks around... pick up the foam bits... typical stuff. The goggles get a bit uncomfortable for me around the 30 minute mark, so my big long range planes get the lcd monitor treatment for the long (walks of shame!) flights. All of that might change though, as my fiance's Cartoon BF-109 arrives this weekend, and then it'll be time to relive the War! (assuming we can see each other in our tiny 350mm planes LMAO)
@@GhostRyderFPV I am finding my own nich in this hobby too. I am trying larger planes right now but the little ones satisfy my needs for sure. Can't wait for the war to commence with your FPV cartoon fleet!
Skyzone Sky04's, the ole go-to. Haven't jumped ship to digital yet, I'm hoping the next Walksnail goggle will have HDMI in (for analog, HDZerom etc). Right now though, I'm *Peak* analog! lol
I have a funny personal story about Baa Baa Black Sheep. During the early 80s, I motivated my father to purchase a recording philipps walkman (that I still have and works) with a microphone for recording myself so as to learn english and perfect my pronunciation. I instead mainly used this walkman to recreate audio of fights between F4U and Zeroes with noises and all, all with my mouth. I unfortunately did not keep the recordings though.
This hits very close to home, Newtoon. While you had Pappy and the crew helping with your accent, I used James... T............. Kirk and Star Trek to help me with mine. You can hear it if you know, haha. I recorded on my Apple IIe, but like you, it ended up being recordings of me making Voltron sounds lol: _"And I'll Form The Head!"_ Thanks for that friend!
Awesome video there buddy , would have loved to see that Space X going up also . And i dont think the name of that plane was long enough lol :) Stay awesome buddy Chris
Thanks for popping in, friend! We just had a launch last night, too, (it's getting _really regular)._ The little Corsair is putting in Work, the little kids love it
I've been checking out your videos and most of them have caught my interest. While there's a lot to like, I've noticed a couple of areas where there's potential for improvement. The video thumbnails could be more captivating, and the videos could be better optimized. With some targeted promotion and improved optimization, getting thousands of views is definitely achievable. If you're up for it, I'm here to discuss further. I'm quite familiar with RU-vid SEO and would be happy to share insights.
@@DesignwithShah I can see similarities to the Russian IL-2, and the German Stuka from WW2, with the gull wing design. This plane was in a US TV show I watched as a kid, called _"Black Sheep Squadron"_ and I still think it's just bad ass! There's a movie with Clint Eastwood, from a little later, called _"Firefox."_ It's not real, but to me the coolest Soviet Fighter Jet ever made :) Happy flying brother!
