The original 95 is the best I remember that well. Even though I stopped watching years ago. Followed by 2010, 2006 is the worst, whoever commissioned that should've been fired 😂 From then on it looks like they took heavy influence from Neighbours as no other soap has intro like this.
Blackburn will always be my hometown, My folks knew what they were doing when they decided to move here in 59, I miss the old place, but not the current version. much like the rest of the country, it is unrecognisable.
When they changed the intro in 2007 i started to go off it but i kept going it wasnt until 2011 came and i was out cuz it turned into absolutely bs However, when they did hollyoaks later that pulled me back in cuz that s*** was good and more darker. Then after Hollyoaks later went I didn't watch it. No more. I recently gone back..... Yeah still shit.
It does have some sort of significance. Although N trance were from near Manchester, the record label I believe were from Blackburn called 'All Around the World'. They were based in the old Market where they sold musical instruments upstairs and LP's downstairs.
I've read books about the resourceful Woodville women. Besides intelligent they were also beautiful. No wonder Edward stopped when he saw Elizabeth by the side of the road!!
Man. I miss the old town, In the 60's this town had it all ! But like most towns in England, Its just not the same. But we still have those mental images, which you never lose, maybe the physical things have long gone. But we remember the town when it was home.
I’m a long time away from Blackburn mate but honestly I miss my old friends and neighbours I’ve never been as happy as I was back then that’s for sure and watching this really brings it back.
@@paulpurves484 me too, moved to the fylde coast back in 92. I know its only down the road, But Blackburn is still my home town , and like you Paul, I too miss my old friends and neighbours too, Thanks for the feedback,
I was brought to this town by my folks in 1959, I have nothing but happy memories of this old cotton town, although I was born in North London in 57, Blackburn is my town. but its not the old town I once knew.
You wont get anywhere near the true heart of this old cotton town, maybe some 60's stuff, and maybe some early 70's magic, after that, the town starts to lose its identity.
This is the vintage town I love to remember. the modern town is just so foreign.I do not apologise for that wording, because its fact. some may not like that, but the town is not the old cotton town I grew up to call my home,
I just love the history of the place I grew up in, I love this town, for all its cotton past, for all its tight knit communities, its back to back housing, Man ! Blackburn was a real East Lancashire town of some note !!
