I knew it was possible! Now it's my dream to make a driving, flying, sailing motorcycle one day. If I manage to pull it off, I'll come back to this comment
Glad to find this video! I thought i was wearing my harness wrong! Someone recommended it to me as a practice/kiting harness and said i could use it for paragliding if i wanted. I’m 6’2 and it doesn’t feel quite right, like high pants that shrunk in the wash. I’m also glad to see that yes, paragliding harnesses lay back farther than paramotors, because when i did a hang test i felt like i was in a recliner. The only thing I found actually bad about it for kiting practice with a paramotor wing is the hook in points are lower than my paramotor swing arms. So the brakes are too long, and aren’t as effective during ground handling.
Thank you for the video!! Really informative and helpful. Would you think a normal size lightweight wing could fit in this backpack? Specifically talking about the Phi Beat Light size 23. I want this harness for it, but I am scared if it will fit or not!
A full size glider will most likely not fit without some serious effort. This harness is more geared toward speedflying; if you want a good full size harness, we recommend the Ozone Solos Lite!
Hey, in this harness backpack will it fit the normal glider like Tequila, ION? For weight 90 - 115 and around 29m. I want this harness for my first stuff, also flying on the normal LOW B wing.
Hey, I bought the Rad 3 a few years ago, I fly a Chilli 3 80-100. Fits very snug, not a lot of room in the bag, but enough room for wing, reserve, jacket. Hope this helps
I use this harness (33L version) with Ozone Unltralite 4 size 21. It fits well inside the bag alone. I also pack lightweight reserve (Skyman Unltracross 75), compact helmet (Petzl Sirocco 1 size 1), Compact Down jacket and gloves - all this stuff fits, but very snug. Probably about 80% of space is taken by the wing Ozone Unltralite 4 size 21. That wing weight 2.2 kg. Ozone Buzz Z4 wing smallest size weights 4.8 kg, which is more than twice bigger than my wing weight which means more than 2 times more material and probably volume. I think there is no way any size of Ozone Buzz Z4 will fit even in the 33L harness. I have small size Ozone Jomo wing and it weighs 3.6 kg and the volume of thins wing in packed condition is almost twice bigger than my Ozone Unltralite 4 size 21 and there is no way even 3.6 kg wing will fit this harness. So again I'm sure Ozone Buzz Z4 will not fit this harness.
Yes, you should use this harness with front mount reserve. Reserve should be mounted with Y-bridle to the carabiners (or soft-links whatever you use to mount your wing to the harness) and packet inside a front mount container (front mount container is mounted to the carabiners too).
I flew a split leg for the first time a few weekends ago, only been on seatboard before that. It was different from what I thought lol, had to sit in the simulator for 10 minutes to get used to the weightshift
Not really. It's primarily made for speedflying/hike and fly (so short flights) so it tends to get pretty uncomfortable after less than an hour. If you want a lightweight XC harness, the Supair Strike 2 was just released this year and it is awesome!
Hi, I'm a 6 foot tall guy and you're right ozone oxygen 1 fits kind of tight on me. What would be a good harness for me on a more cheaper end instead of the very expensive ones.?
Our most popular is by far the Supair Radical 3! It tends to fit people all the way up to 6'3"ish, but of course they still fit pretty small on some people. Additionally, since this video was made they've come out with a L Oxygen size so that might be a bit better if you've been trying the M.
Hi, first of all....... great video's. I already have the Supair radical3 harnes with airbag setup. I like it. Should buying this Ozone Oxygen1 beside the Radical3 be ok or rather buying just another harnes of the same categorie? I
The Radical and Oxygen are generally used for the same thing. We would recommend the Radical because it has back protection. But if you're looking for something for something else, let us know and we would be happy to recommend something for you!
@@Adventuretoystore hi adventure store. Thx for your feedback. I already find out the 2 harnesses were to much the same. A little more comfort would be preferable but I don't want a true heavy harness that gives me the impression being in an airplane. 😉 My radical3 hasn't got the softened legpads as the oxygen does and that why I thought about the oxygen. The oxygen2 seems to be that something more. Does there exist something in between the oxygen and oxygen2? Thabk you very much again for your reply. Best regards Wim
Great review, really helpful. I am looking for a hike & speedride/speedfly harness. I have a Swing Spit2 11m and I'm wondering if there is enough room for it in the backpack of the base model?
You Need the airbag attachment to then make it into a backpack and Spit fits great. without the airbag there is no backpack mode. We HIGHLY recommend the airbag for any hike and fly or speed riding if your not scooping powder. Airbags SAVE lives. Serous, it's just not worth it and we see more and more extremely accomplished pilots have a butt landing and cause serious injury or worse where a simple airbag might make the difference. Here if you need more help or insight, lots of options. If you order from us, you can always send back if fit is not right or doesn't meet your expectations. STEVE MAYER
Thank you for the review! It convinced me to buy the harness :-D I have the S-M size and I can easily fit in it my LC Spituline GT2 (20 sqm) - it's in a concertina bag, but I didn't need to pack it particularly well to make it fit😅 + reserve and helmet! The backpack is def more spacious than I originally thought
I'm new to paragliding and currently training in an extremely massive and uncomfortable school harness, what makes you say this is "not an everydat paragliding harness"? I intend to mostly hike and fly, but am a novice.
Great, well informed and concise video! I'm planning on trading out my Ozone Mojo 3 and get the Ozone Ultralight 4 with this harness as I intend to do some travelling with it longterm. (After the virus situation settles down of course, likely in 2021 now) Do you have a quote from Ozone for the Ultralight 4 glider by chance?
You could probably find a way to put one on there, but it does not include the buckles for it. Stirrups are meant for getting back in your harness, which isn't really a problem with a split leg.
