As the UK General Election 2024 was called, I thought, "A lot of emphasis is put on the politics in a place, but what about the place behind the politics?"
That's when CharlieExploresUK was born.
Join me as I explore the cities, towns and villages of the United Kingdom, sharing my insights as a visitor, covering the politics but with a greater emphasis on what the area is like, what there is to see, and what there is to do.
Im glad you didnt notice the oddly matching tiles in the other parts of the Square Mall😂. I still like Camberley as its quite well placed geographically. With access to nearby major towns like reading and Guildford via trians from Blackwater.
Haha, I didn't notice the tiles! Yes, I completely agree about its location. I will be commenting further on the public transport options in Surrey, so watch this space!
Love this tour of Camberley and the honourable walk down memory lane in Heatherside. Will be interesting if Pinkerton gets in for SH, he’s been very active in the local community and a much better option than Gove ever has been!
It is. I’ve just spotted another technicality that needs clarification! If you type “Surrey” into Google Maps, it excludes the Meadows roundabout, saying it’s in the Bracknell Forest council area, which is in Berkshire. I don’t think this is right! The roundabout had sponsorship signs with the Surrey County Council logo on them. Can someone local please confirm whether the roundabout is in Surrey or Berkshire? 🤔
