Appreciate you making this video. Thanks for putting the links in the description also, could you specify which parts we need to buy multiple of? I get the calipers are separate, but do the rotors and pads come in kits to conver both front wheels, or do i need to order 2 of them. Also with the bolts, is it 3 for the passenger and 3 for the drivers side?
First, you did not lightly wrist mix Absolute, so you had some chem separation. Absolute is amazing as a complete exterior and interior as you mix it properly with distilled water, yet you can use hard water as it has a softener. Absolute is very slick on application and slick post dry. After a few minutes, Absolute cures more slick. Cleaning my car is very easy: Absolutely easy! Reminder, for clay lube, follow dilution directions. Dirt encapsulates Absolutely well
Yep my agrythm got me rite on this one it was like 🤔 said he had a white camero but luves the 00's TA that Ws6 manuals my kinda car almost bought one it was 02 Charcoal Metalic grey Chrome 5stars Rims Be Fun to drive around in Summer for sure..
Great videos! Was wondering if these would work for the front and rears on a 94 z28 ? And if any additional work would have to be done? I’m assuming it wouldn’t just bolt right up
I'm going costume offset, narrowing rear-end 3" both sides, going with 17" rim 11' inches wide 4.8 backspace . Weld wheels RTS S71 all polished crome, fits like a dream.
hey Travis. when I go to the link for the caliper bolts I get the caliper kit instead. can You shoot edit in a link to the caliper bolts? unless that’s included in the caliper kit?
I know exactly where you are talking about. It was a great area until they put those stop signs and newer connecting roads. Was hard to get more than a few licks in there towards the end LOL! Thank you for watching!
guys PLEASE stop putting the SAME welds on every single 4th gen Firebird in existence... it's so fuckin boring... when every Trans Am at the car show looks identical it starts to lose it's fuckin luster. welds are so lame now. get some originality please
I am so envious right now. I worked on a broken bolt all yesterday with my flux core welder, and I could not get a good weld on it. It just broke off every time. I hope I can get to it again today, but at the moment I am feeling very frustrated at the moment.
@@Autofaze I did eventually get it. I watched a video by Wenching with Kenny and he mentioned using a stick welder for it. I ended up switching my welder to stick mode and used a 7014 stick. That got enough heat on it to get it moving. Once it was moving, getting it out was easy.
@@Autofaze I thought I should expand on what I did. I used the welder with a 7014 stick. With a washer about the diameter of the bolt taped down to the head, I used the stick welder to build up a nub that I could get my vice grips on. I used them to rock it back and forth. The first two broke off after a bit of rocking, but the third stayed on long enough to get the bolt moving. It broke off as well. At that point I was getting tired of dealing with the slag from stick welding, so I switched the welder back to flux core. I build up a nub that I could get the vice grips on, an continued rocking it. I broke that off a couple more times, but got it turned further each time. Finally, it had moved enough that it was past any resistance, and out came the remains of the bolt. The rest of the job putting everything back in was easy after that.
It sure seems like it is in the midwest. I see the most of red and black! I am certain the CETA yellow is more rare than sunset orange but who knows lol
ok so obviously the physical upgrade is great, but I don't want my WS6 to be wearing shoes that say "Cadillac" or "Corvette" on the side. everyone does this C6/CTSV brake swap on their Firebird but how can you delete the advertising and get a clean looking caliper?
You can totally sand and paint these. I have Brembo stickers some where in the garage to do just that. It really confuses people with Cadillac brakes currently LOL. Thanks for watching!!!
Is that a K20 or K24? I've worked on both but not familiar enough. I've got a 2000 Insight I'm trying to decide whether to K Swap or put a new hybrid battery in. Honestly, I kinda want to do both.
Where does your exhaust run out? My pipe is under the front bumper, and hangs low. Any help would be great. Thought about going out the front bumper, but that means it'd go through the side marker light. Thanks for any help.
Did you have to use crush washers on the banjo bolt? It didn't have them on the stock calipers and the new banjo bolt did not come with them ... assumed they would if needed. The banjo bolt (14100 Doorman) made it seem if you read the back washers would come with bolts if needed.
@@Autofaze for sure man. I have a 2013 ZL1. Still all stock, but got her paid off now so hopefully I can start doing something to it. I also have a 1982 Indianapolis 500 Camaro that I tried to give as a down payment for a black 1998 WS-6 with polished wheels. Unfortunately someone beat me to the punch. I still have it, but engine is locked up. 😅 🤭 But definitely keep the videos up. Love the ride, and the energy. 👍🏾
@CB80681 very cool! Time for some mods 😎. I'd advise staying away from the 98s. They use a different ecu than the 99+ and tuning them can be tricky. Last year or the metal fuel tanks too fyi
