I just purchased a camera exactly like yours (1913) but sadly the film loading door was broken which I didn't notice in the ebay photos. I may be able to shoot film in it by using Gaffers tape to block light but since the winder falls off it's a nightmare to reinstall the film door. Maybe this one goes on the shelf and I buy another. Thanks for the video and I look forward to seeing the pictures you take with this camera.
Sad to hear it was broken. If you can’t get it to work, it is a part of camera history, AND beautiful to look at, a second life on a shelf where you can see it maybe? I’ve started to take photos so hopefully the old roll of film I’ve been using is ok and can be developed.
This is truly beautiful and moving! 🥹❤️ I'm happy to see you back so calm and soul healing. Watched it paired with a cup of chamomile tea and the loud sound of seagulls arguing on the roof of my house.
Thank you, It’s nice to be back at it again. ❤️ A cup of tea sounds lovely but the seagulls arguing maybe not so calming. 😂 I myself have been watching and listening to different kind of birds today. There is a pair of European pied flycatchers nesting just outside my window. Really calming and lovely to watch them fly back and forth.
@TiinaPetersson The whole nature seems suddenly so busy... ❤️ As for the noisy seagulls on my roof, I know it sounds paradoxal. 😂 How different we perceive and react in a similar situation! Imagine a mum whose kids are having another conflict and she decides not to intervene anymore, let them solve it alone. Sometimes, that emotional neutrality is a blessing because it makes me realise how the world doesn't end if I let go of control for a few minutes.
True words! To let go of control can be hard, but also as you say, make you realise that there are bigger things in life to spend time and energy on. And that is a strength.
I'm usually a very positive person but winter blues hit hard this year. After taking a long break I'm now back with more energy and creativity. I missed you, Hope you been well!
Hi @theundine and thank you for thinking about me, it warms my heart! Winter depression or low energy hit hard this winter. And I’ve have been struggling to make videos. I haven’t even opened RU-vid for quite a while. But. I there will be a new video soon as I’ve got more energy as the spring light returned. Thank you again for thinking of me and my little channel! ❤ See you soon!
Hi Tiina! I'm sorry to hear that you've been struggling this winter, but I'm glad that the spring light is finally here to bring more energy and inspiration. Take care and prioritize your well-being above all else. Hope to see you back soon.
Such a blessing to live there! I imagine the crispness of the freezing air, cleansing the lungs, and the mind of negative thoughts. The winter is nearly over here and we had no trace of snow in the small town in Hampshire, England where I live. Hopefully next year... 🙏🏼🥹
It is beautiful, but not always. Lots of days with just grey everything and rain. And no sun for weeks. But there are beautiful snowy and/or misty days too. :) You can find the beautiful even in the grey. (I've been struggling with that this winter though). Hope you will have a white winter next year! But before that a beautiful spring and summer! :)
Another calming video. ❤ Thank you for sharing from your kitchen! For me, cooking by recipes feels like a chore, with more steps than actually are, and, usually, by the time the food is cooked, I feel too tired to even eat it. Plus, it never looks like the original picture, which makes me feel like a total disappointment. 😂 So I prefer to cook basic recipes that I do over and over again, with ingredients that are always on my shopping list, regarding it less like an art and more like a source of energy. For more fancy stuff or to experiment with different traditional cusines, I will simply dine out.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. 💛 I hear you.The basic recipes are a go to for me also but sometimes it fun to experiment. Makes it more enjoyable. For me anyways.
Waking up to a misty morning for the chance to go out photographing or just to take a walk in the beautiful mist makes my heart sing. I'm waiting for the next one! How about you?
Sending some cozy and calm vibes from Phuket in Thailand where I spent my birthday this year. I hope that I can share some of the relaxing atmosphere, through the screen with you! More videos from here to come! Don’t forget to like and subscribe! 👍😎 💛
Colours, rich and subtle, with the scent of woodlands and wet grass. Woollen jumpers, retrieved from summer storage, and worn like old friends. Woodsmoke and the acridity of burning leaves, and the sight of birds flying high in a pale sky. Seeing my breath on the morning air, and knowing that a book awaits on a table by a fire.
@@mrstandfast2212 I absolutely love your description about fall and woollen jumpers and friends. A fire and a good book is a must at fall nights, and maybe also a glass of smokey whiskey.
Min. 0:32 I felt the warmth laying down your body. ❤ Beautiful! I enjoyed this quiet moment, though I'm so looking forward to hearing more of your words.
Thank you, I love spring and the energy you get from the first spring sun after a long cold winter, it's amazing! :) Words can be hard to sometimes, but there will be a new video tomorrow. With words. Hope you'll like it!
I just came across your channel, to discover what a beautiful person you are! Your videos are delightful collages that leave me in wondering astonishment and really make me question my life. I'm not sure if I document it in any way... I don't practice journaling, though I write poetry and I try to express gratitude everyday. Recently, I started making videos of my poetry, and I feel that it made a great impact on the way I perceive the space around me, I turn more towards nature and I give it more credit for the way I feel.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I think poetry is a beautiful way to document your life because it is about your feelings and/or the way you see the world. So keep on writing and make videos! :) Nature has also a great impact on me. It gives calmness to my soul, and If I have a bad day, a walk in the forest is the best medicine.
@TiinaPetersson I feel the same. It is very satisfying to wait until I find heavenly, meaningful words that express my thoughts. Wishing you all the best with your channel and I'm excited to see what's coming next. 🩶
sorry not yet, I took a few photos early summer but because I don't have that much film I have been a little bit selective with what I shoot. And the film is ISO 100 and this summer has been a lot of grey days... a lot of exuses I know but I'll, get there. :)
Thank you, happy you liked it! Yes the word play was in fact my intention. As English is my third language it’s not always easy to come up with these but I was kind of pleased when I came up with this one 😊
I have the Fjord 60C, bought it about 6 months ago and use it when I travel or go hiking and have a need to pack quite a bit of non-camera stuff. I just ordered the small one, 26 liters, for every day use. I like that I can still fit additional stuff in even with the small camera insert (I only have one camera and three lenses) but it is not as huge as the 60 liter... the 36 also seems to be a good size, thanks for the video. Good to see that it's still your choice after one year. Since they are pricey, I needed that confidence right now 😄
Happy that my video helped you ! I would love one of the 26L myself, but as you say they are a bit pricey, like every camera bag I want to buy... :) So I use the small insert I have in a smaller ordinary backpack for now, when I don't want to bring my "big" one.
Fires can be a destroying force. But fires conceptually, can be seen as symbols for cleansing, or as a new birth (like the Fenix bird that rises from the aches with a new life and beginning in mythology). A fire can also symbolize an experience you overcome and grow stronger from. ! When using fire in photography always be aware and think of safety first!
Hi sorry, I don’t understand what that means. Can you clarify? Did you mean the music choice? If you mean the use of fire in the art I wrote and pinned a comment above just to clarify the conceptual point of view.
