Hello! May I ask about the dorm fee. Did you pay the fee for the whole semester at once? Or we can pay it when we receive our stipend monthly? Thank you!
Hey Sandy unnie!! Old subscriber here started😅 Korean journey inspired by you, & wanted to share a little progress!! Not a big achievement but i got TOPIK level 2 with 87%😄couldn't able to get level 3 bcz of just some marks, I was very close to level 3, I could have done better but I'm happy whatever I got I tried my best thank you❤🤍
I want to apply to PNU next year, I was wondering if the interview is crucial? Like if they don't like you during the interview will they turn you down without caring about other things like GPA, topik, Toefl, awards, etc.
I must say every round is crucial and I’ve heard a lot of applicants getting declined after interview round too! Not to discourage anyone but the interview is crucial just like other documents part! Hope it helps ^^
Thank you! And I’m not sure about the question but if you’re asking if there was any other student in the interview session, there was none. There were me and two professors interviewing me.
Another great free resource for language learning is Immersive Translate. It’s a browser extension that supports over 100+ languages. I personally use it to watch my shows and movies on Netflix every day, which has really helped me improve my language skills. I’ve already learned a lot so far, and am quite pleased with the progress I’m making.
Thankyou so much for such an elaborated video. I really appreciate as it was very helpful. You've earned a new subscriber. My question is about the courses we'll be taking after becoming a GKS Scholar. Elaborate whether the courses are in English or Korean? Or is there anything like, a few of those are in Korean and a few in English?
what a good question! It actually depends on your major. For me, my major is 100% Korean course, which means I have to expect to attend my classes (especially all major classes) in Korean. For general subjects, there might have some English classes and some might not, depending on each subject.
@@sandyspace_yt as in the "university information" file, it is mentioned that the following university offers courses for this major in Korean 100%,or English 100%. Should we also check this during the application process as it would be hard to study in a complete alien language.
Is it true that as a gks scholar you have to maintain certain gpa every semester in university.otherwise scholarship will be cancelled, Can you pls share how much % gks ug student have to maintain every semester in order to continue getting scholarship.
Hello it’s true. GKS scholars need to maintain 70% out of 100% in percentage scale( you can convert it in GPA scale) And if one couldn’t, you’ll get one warning, and scholarship will be cancelled if you get 3 warnings.
According to the program's guidelines, they will give extra points to those who have topik certificate( which is korean language proficiency certificate) so I believe they will consider you as a strong applicant if you have good korean language skill. But still, please keep in mind that they always evaluate by screening through the whole application. ^^
You’re right! But we have to take the meal plan(3 meals a day,7days) and it’s like mandatory for us in the language year. We can choose 2meals/per day plan when we become uni student but still, the price difference is not that much. So, if you eat at dorm for all 3 meals, the dorm fee can be considered as not expensive at all. For me, if I can’t eat dorm meal, I have to spend extra money on food again so living in the dorm is kinda more expensive for me^^
Hi! I passed the first round of GKS since 10 November and my application documents forwarded to NIIED, so when I passed the first round like this, do I need to submit graduation certificate to NIIED? (University Track)
sorry for the late reply. Did you submit the graduation certificate in the first round or not? In my case, I already submitted my graduation certificate in my application so I don't need to submit it separately after passing 1st round. If it's not clear, feel free to DM me on ig.
Hello, Sandy. First of all, thank you for making such videos. I'm so grateful. Also, your Korean speaking skill is absolutely perfect. This is the first time I've seen a foreigner speak Korean so fluently. I have a question about Korean language part. My history of learning Korean is not short. I mean... there are some courses that I attended for a long time. That's why I'm not sure in which section I should write how I learned Korean in detail. Should I explain it in detail at the start of my language study plan? 🥺🥲
Firstly, thank you for your kind words! It means a lot to me!^^ For the question, you can explain your language journey in the language study part of your study plan!
Firstly, I wanna suggest you to email your university and ask for the curriculum of the specific course you are applying for. If they give you information, you can go with it and if they don’t, then you can use the curriculum of the same course from other university to get reference.Hope it helps!^^
Congratulations unnie...🎉🎉🎉 I would like to ask a question....please reply...on what date did you get the email regarding your interview date and time slot....this year the results for round 1 are to be announced on 10th November and still we haven't received any Email regarding the interview date, time and slot....?? Moreover there is no mention about the interview time allocation except for the remark that ( between 26th October to 3rd November there will evaluation process going on and applicants may have an interview on zoom or through telephone ) ????????? But when no info..
There might be no interview at all in some cases, depending on the department you are applying for. For me, it was just within the period of the time they’ve announced. You can contact them and ask if there is any interview or not.
Hello! Could you please help me understand the curriculum of Yeungjin University for "AI, Big Data Software Engineering"? If I choose this major, do I have to choose one field from AI, Big Data, and Software Engineering? Thanks for your assistance!
