I always describe this band to the uninitiated by saying, "You know how, from time to time, TV series have those end-of-poignant-episode montages where it shows each character, one by one, getting ready for bed or doing whatever, and it's always backed with a fantastic relevant song? That's every song by this band." Great housecleaning music, too.
Hmm yes, and I'll be stripped to the skin (I'll be stripped to the skin) You'll be stripped to the bone (You'll be stripped to the bone) And we'll all say no, no (And we'll all say no) to the picture-phone Well... looking back in time, it seems we didn't listen to his message. We have enthusiastically embraced the "picture-phone".
Thank you for making me smile! :) Me and my mate used to buy weed down the Frontline and walk back home through Brixton Market singing this tune to ourselves :-) Keep on rollin' ;-)
I thought the bandmates looked really strange at first but they grew on me. You've got to give them all credit for enthusiasm and the drummer matches the music rhythm perfectly even though all percussion is possibly all on a drum machine. And, Gold's interpretation of this song has an unforgettable urgency.
4:17 Leider ein viel zu wenig bekannter und gespielter Song von Alphaville😞Ich finde ihn sehr besonders 🎉Dankeschön für die Ausspielung❤❤Auch das Video ist sehr passend👍👋
Oh yes! And senile as the day is long. He howls into his water dish all night. He will be 20 on July 14th of this year. Sadly we lost his sister on 12/17-23.. she was failing to thrive
Such brilliance all over, every song, ive loved this since it came out. The dislocated funk belter Living In Sin with Robert Palmer, what a way to kick off a side of an album!!
And im stunned as i realise they both are not here anymore. Robert Palmer made a brilliant album, my favourite of his, Pride. Theres a diverse range of excellent songs there.
