IM BLOWN AWAY BY DEEN ,ARNEL DID A GOOD JOB KEEPING THE JOURNEY A LIVE BUT I THINK THEYVE FOUND A NEW SPARK TO THERE MUSIC COLLECTION.I CAN LISTEN TO DEEN ALL DAY LONG
I LOVE DEENS VOICE ON THIS SONG ,BEAUTIFUL BALLAD,DEEN NEEDS TO BE RECORDING SOME NEW ALBUMS FOR JOURNEY. THIS IS A GREAT AMERICAN STORY,NEIL DESERVES GREAT CREDIT FOR FINDING DEEN,AND GIVING HIM A SHOT,A STAR ON THE RISE
At this point Journey has nothing left to prove. They should grow some balls and make a setlist only on post-Perry material. So happy to see Neal making music with Gregg Rolie again. AND that the Journey Through Time will soon be getting a CD + DVD release. Some great pre-Perry Mahavishnu-inspired fusion in the setlist.
I’ve seen a lot of attacks on Neal as a person, but I think his loyalty to Deen says a lot about him. Neal is probably my biggest influence as a player.
I'd say that Stay Awhile is the standard that any singer that wants to replicate Steve Perry on stage is held to. I haven't heard anybody else get that close.
Put Deen🤩 on lead vocals and get another drummer. Deen has been overlooked for far too long!! Arnel, no offense, but you need to get your voice in shape!! Then Deen can go back on drums, or maybe not😉
hahaha. Deen was never overlooked, but it was fate that decided the road they had walked through. You telling Arnel to get his voice in shape is like telling that he aint got the right to wear and tear and including aging too. AP's voice status now has been the result of his love for his craft. But despite all the hectic tour schedules and bloody notes he had been singing for hours almost every night with journey, this guy is still singing beautifully till this very day!
Der Schlagzeuger kann echt Singen Kommt zwar nicht an Steve Perry ran, aber ist echt gut.👏👏👏 Den sollte Journey als Leadsänger nehmen und nicht diesen Arnel. Den mag ich überhaupt nicht.
Great guitar solo, but Dean just can’t compare to Steve. This is my favorite Journey song and Steve’s soaring vocals coupled with Schon’s guitar on this is what made this song magical.
@@dottybb2756 I don’t think anyone is saying Deen is better than Steve P in his prime. (Deen is around 55 here.) Still, I’ve watched a lot of videos of Deen singing. He’s certainly capable of keeping the Journey spirit alive now that Steve P isn’t with them.
@@PeachWNK I hear you. Daydream holds a special place in my heart and I guess I’m being overly critical because I think Steve sounds magical singing it. There’s a live version of Journey performing Daydream from a concert in Chicago in ‘79. The vocals are a bit muffled but there’s a note that Steve hits midway through that is so beautiful that it brings a tear to my eye.
