This is the video I send to friends that ask me about slow pitch jigging. Great presentation. Thanks. (By the way, slow pitch jigging works great in Alaska, too!)
And Mike let's go to this comment that's why I can't stand people from the states a lot you think they're freaking Mr. Know-it-all @ johnthekiwi1601 He doesn't realize how long I've been tapping into your channel he says are you part of us you're not honor on his website and you're not on his channel subscribe that he's trying to see oh hell I was watching your videos when you're on fishing network WFN That's how long I've been watching you and your boat was cutting half and you're driving now to d*** lake and the deep water
Like get this if I was there just for the hell of it see test run my number 12/8 and 10 muskie blade bait blue and white ones. Is black Is purple. Is all gold or all silver. Red and white Number 12 10s 8s and babies In shore Florida fishing just for the hell of it do you think someone will hit it
For trolling the Magnum 30 and 40, I ordered the VMC 8700 Dynacut #7/0 & #9/0 and the direction of the eye doesn't allow the hook to dangle or track properly. Any suggestions? Do I add another split ring or what? I noticed my Nomad deep divers came with the single hook setup, and the eye is sideways allowing it to track correctly. I just was trying to take your advice and change out the trebble hooks off the Rapala Magnums. Hope this makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob Smith St. Cloud, Florida
I received an XRAP 20 for my birthday last year, first day out just a few weeks later, landed a nice 17LB blackfin out of the Pompano/Boca area trolling at 7-8mph. Went to Dick's that same week and they had it for BOGO, so I took everything off the shelf and caught a few more BF since. I now have about 10 of these in different colors in my arsenal, top shot is thin braided wire because of the toothy risks and flexibility with strength. My most productive color for us has been the UV Wahoo, ghost was not in stock. Will grab one next time I see one.

Wouldn’t go with more than 10 feet of windon leader no need for any longer just enough to add some shock protection and enough to leader a fish. Keep it short runs better
I got a BUNCH of original xrap 10 clacking mags for 2.99 in a bargain bin at Dicks years ago … they are still killing it! Always pull at least one. Purple / Bonita / Mahi / and Ghost
I love the dtx and madmacs. I have honestly had way more success just tweaking my tuna and mahi lures off NJ. I usually run 2 trackers with skirted ballyhoo on long leaders from the tracker itself. I shot gun a splash bar with another long leadered skirted ballyhoo. Then 2 hard plugs, either dtx or madmac and usually a flatlined islander. I pull that usually around 8ish mph and it's been deadly in our 20-30 fathom areas. The plugs i run on mono. The ballys have 6ft of wire. I learned my lesson a few years ago getting bit off
Spot on and timely! It is heating up now, got on a good bite of slob mangroves over the last couple weeks out of big pine. Early morning, Chum, chunking Pinfish, 20# outfits was the ticket
Wow, great presentation. I'm just learning the ropes of fishing down in the Sea of Cortez. I've been a lake and stream fisherman all my life. I bought myself a Mako 171 and I'm loving it. You filled in a lot of information I needed. The water down here has almost reached the temp's for the Dorado (Mahi) to show up but till then trolling for big Cabrilla and Grouper on the points is always productive. Side Note: Today we saw a flock of birds diving on bait with fish slashing through the school. as we were gunning it back to shore after a dismal morning fishing in the fog. We both looked at each other and got rods in the water. We both hooked up to 30+ lb Jack Crevalle. Took over 1/2 an hour to get just one fish finally in the boat, the other got off. Turned a nothing morning into a great day of fishing.
ok, I am a commercial diver with over 20years experience in the northeast usa "this stuff is snake oil" I have a pink algae the is getting in it this season and its a pain in the ass to clean and works as well as NO bottom paint...lol~ I have this client on a 2 week schedule and sad to say it should be done every week! ~~~~~~~~ old school bottom paint works~~~~~~~~ if you are worried about the value of your boat going down do not buy a boat ; )
